    • An impedance matching system, a network analyzer having the same, and an impedance matching method thereof are disclosed. The system includes a signal extractor to extract an output signal and an input signal having at least a portion of an electric current outputted through a load and at least a portion of an electric current inputted through the load, respectively, a processor to process the output signal and the input signal extracted from the signal extractor, a comparator to compare a phase and an amplitude of the output signal with a phase and an amplitude of the input signal, respectively, a coefficient calculator to calculate a reflection coefficient using the comparative result provided from the comparator, and a circuit controller to generate a signal for controlling a matching circuit, which matches the phase and the amplitude of the output signal with the phase and the amplitude of the input signal, respectively, so as to ensure the reflection coefficient to have a predetermined value.

    • A transmission line conversion apparatus connecting a parallel transmission line to a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is provided. To this end, the CPW including a transmission line composed of a signal line and a ground line which is formed on one surface of a dielectric substrate, and a parallel transmission line connected to the CPW, at a predetermined angle with respect to a substrate constituting the CPW, and composed of a signal line and a ground line, are proposed. In addition, the signal line of the CPW and the signal line of the parallel transmission line are connected to each other, and the ground line of the CPW and the ground line of the parallel transmission line are connected to each other. As such, by connecting the CPW to the parallel transmission line, a return loss can be minimized.

    • A Ultra WideBand (UWB) substrate type dipole antenna is provided which has a stable radiation pattern. The UWB substrate type dipole antenna includes a dielectric substrate, a first radiator formed on a side of the dielectric substrate, a signal line transmitting an energy from a coaxial cable to the first radiator, and a plurality of second radiators formed at a predetermined distance from the first radiator and the signal line, and respectively having therein a plurality of slits of a predetermined configuration. Because there is no leakage of electric current to an outer part of an external conductor of the coaxial cable, even when the connection of the connector and the coaxial cable to the antenna, distortion of the radiation pattern of the antenna is prevented. As a result, the same radiation pattern and the direction of maximum radiation may be obtained before and after connection with the connector and the coaxial cable.

    • An apparatus for converting a transmission structure includes a conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (CBCPW) transmission line comprising metal layers formed on both sides of a board, a first signal line and a first ground line formed by removing the metal layer on one side of the board according to a pattern line, a plurality of via holes formed on the first ground line, proximate to the pattern line, and a parallel transmission line which forms a second signal line and a second ground line parallel with the second signal line, by being connected at one end with the first signal line and the first ground line in a substantially perpendicular direction with respect to the board, respectively. By the parallel transmission line which is connected with the planar transmission line in a perpendicular direction, a compact-sized wideband converter can be provided at an economical price.
