    • Systems for leaching liquid waste, particularly waste water. More particularly, a cylindrical conduit or pipe for use in leaching systems. Even more particularly, a cylindrical conduit which has apertures/skimmer tabs created either during the manufacture/forming/extrusion of the conduit or by punching after the forming of the conduit. Most particularly, is an apparatus and method for perforating corrugated plastic pipe or smooth walled plastic pipe while the pipe is in the process of extrusion. Further and even most particularly, an actuatable perforator/skimmer tab former which may be timely acutuated to cause the perforation of the wall of pipe wherein the plastic of the portion being perforated is semi-molten as, for example during the forming of the pipe or caused to be made semi-molten after formation of the pipe such as, for example, by heating of the acuatable perforator/skimmer former thereby causing the plastic to be rolled rather than cut creating thereby a perforation and skimmer tab of predetermined and selected geometry and dimension.

    • Systems for leaching liquid waste, particularly waste water. More particularly a cylindrical conduit or pipe for use in leaching systems. The pipe further has axially directed cuts or apertures in conduit/pipe valleys, has ridges, channels and grooves over which may be laid either single or multiple layers of fabric. The corrugated pipe may have slots or slits or V-grooves in and on the various portions of the pipe such as the outer-facing surface of the ridges, the end portion of the ridges, the side wall of the groove or through the bottom portion of the groove, i.e., the valleys. The cylindrical conduit disperses moisture away from the conduit through capillary action, wicking into a surrounding material. A perforated cylindrical conduit is one method permitting wicking. The surrounding material provides capillary action to transmit moisture away from the cylinder or conduit. These surrounding materials include sand, gravel, plastic fibers, wood products, slag, and ash. A fabric or other material may surround the cylindrical conduit. For septic systems, this includes any gravel-less systems such as the SB2, Environ-Septic® and Geo-Flow® systems. Other applications of this invention include treatment of oil-contaminated water and chemically contaminated water, in addition to septic tank effluent.

    • The invention most fundamentally is a leaching system substantially consisting of subsystems of liquid permeable conduit, serial or parallel interconnected for the serial or parallel flow of fluid being processed. Fluid flow is within subsystems and between subsystems from one level to another level. I.e., the subsystems of which the system is comprised are located at different depths one above the other within a “leach bed” or within the volume designed to process the leached fluid. The leaching system has at least two (2) leaching subsystems wherein each of the leaching subsystems is planarly located at a different depth within the leaching field having the leaching system installed therein. The leaching subsystems are fluid flow connected, using tubing, such that fluid being leached either flows; (1.) sequentially or serially through one of the subsystems and then sequentially or serially through another of the subsystems and subsequently through yet another subsystem until the last of the subsystems; or (2.) the fluid being leached is divided such that the divided portions flow in a parallel paths or substantially simultaneously through one of the subsystems and then subsequently through the remaining subsystems either simultaneously or sequentially and in either sequential flow or parallel flow within the components of the subsystems. The system permits a greater density of bacteria within a leaching area. The multi-level system allows a straightforward installation of a leaching system in small or irregularly shaped areas where installation of effective single level systems would be difficult or impossible.

    • Couplers for coupling conduit in end-to-end flow communication relationship are disclosed. A coupler has at least two coupling members each having one end hingingly attachable to one end of another of the at least two coupling members, and one of each coupling members having one end configured with a first cooperating attaching component and the other of each having one end configured with a second cooperating attaching component. There may also be a pressure producing element which increases coupling forces when said first and second cooperating attaching components are attached. There may also be corrugations in the walls of one or all of the coupling members that fit within corrugations of corrugated conduit being connected. The inside diameter of the coupler is about equal to or greater than the outside diameter of the conduit being thereby coupled. In addition, a plurality of couplers and/or coupling members may be used to couple conduit with small diameters and conduit with large diameters. The larger the diameter of the conduit the more coupling members are needed to so couple the conduit.
