Methods of treating wastewater may involve passing wastewater, after optional oxygenating and pre-filtering, through such alternating layers of geotextile, preferably nonwoven, and polymer particles.

摘要： A septic system is provided that includes a septic tank having a plurality of compartments with a tank inlet in a first compartment. First and second vaults are positioned in a second compartment. The first vault receives fluid from the first compartment at a level near a fluid surface in the tank. A first flow inducer receives fluid from the first vault at a level near a bottom of the first vault, and releases fluid into the second compartment at a level near the fluid surface. The second vault receives fluid from the second compartment at a level near a bottom of the second vault and discharge fluid at a level near the fluid surface. Third and fourth vaults and a second flow inducer are positioned in a third compartment, the third vault receiving fluid from the second vault, and the fourth vault discharging fluid to a tank outlet.

The fluid conduit may be used for processing and treatment of fluids which must be treated to remove materials so that the resultant treated fluid may be reused and/or returned to the earth and particularly to the water table. The fluid conduit may be of many forms and types and may have attached thereto and configured thereon covering material in partial form and a selected number of layers. The fluid conduit may be a septic pipe of smooth wall, of corrugated form, and/or of any form of cross-sectional configuration including circular, elliptical, rectangular, triangular, or any other geometric shape. The fluid conduit may be used in combination with conduit in a drainage field or leaching system usually associated with a septic tank or septic system.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method of recovering resources from waste water and especially to a method of recovering nitrogen from sanitation or sewage water. A multi-chamber ion exchange bioreactor is incorporated into a septic tank system which has an anaerobic treatment chamber therein having a solid blanket containing anaerobic bacteria therein, followed by a multi-chamber ion exchange bioreactor having a plurality of ion exchange chambers forming a serpentine passage having each upflow chamber followed by a downflow chamber for the removal of nitrogen compounds from the effluent passing therethrough.
