摘要： An apparatus is disclosed for storing and dispensing pen needles for an injection device, including a case having dispensing and storage ends for dispensing and storing a plurality of pen needles and a plurality of needle cover units, each pen needle having a patient end and a hub for connection to the injection device, and each needle cover unit having a needle-covering portion for covering a patient end and a hub-covering portion for covering a hub. A needle-covering portion covering the needle of one pen needle is coupled with a hub-covering portion covering a hub of another pen needle. Prior to use, a hub-covering portion covering the hub of a pen needle is exposed to an outside at the dispensing end of the case, and subsequent to use, the pen needle is stored in the storage end of the case.

摘要： A tool for stripping insulation or cladding from a conductor includes a pair of oppositely opposed notched cutting blades which are mounted in blade holders. The blade holders are guided into contact with the insulation or cladding by slots contained in a housing and stopped before the cutting blades contact the conductor. The movement of the cutting blades into contact with the insulation is caused by the squeezing of a pair of handles which are resiliently mounted within a housing. The central portion of the housing includes a slot for measuring the length of insulation or cladding to be stripped from the conductor.

A relatively short handle on one of the blades extends upwardly and rearwardly from a line defined by the blade points and the pivot point. The long handle receives the user's fingers in a line substantially parallel to the line defined by the blade points and the pivot point.

摘要： A system and method for a patch-like, self-contained substance infusion device which provides one or more substantially hidden patient needles which can be placed in fluid communication with a fluid reservoir subassembly that includes a rigid bladder portion used in conjunction with a non-distensible bladder film, such as a metallized film. Simple removal of an interlock allows a disk, or Belleville spring assembly to apply an essentially even and constant pressure to the contents of the fluid reservoir assembly, and allows the device to then be attached to a skin surface via an adhesive contact surface. A push button activation assembly is provided which can then be used to release and seat one or more spring-loaded patient needles into the skin surface, and establish a fluid communication path between the patient needles and the pressurized fluid reservoir contents thereby delivering an infusion into the skin.
