    • In the field of vacuum-assist-resin-transfer-mold (VARTM) processing, a new system is provided to lower production times and to create a high permeability mold cavity with reduced directionality to yield an optimum flow-front. The system comprises the use of a high permeability layer to evacuate air from the mold cavity and may include a reusable port-runner device for introduction of resin into the fiber mat. In the preferred embodiment, the high permeability layer is a “felt-like” material constructed of synthetic fibers, and the reusable port device is a flat, modular unit. In another embodiment, the high permeability layer is a fluid-impervious material with sporadic protrusions, and the reusable port-runner device is a flexible, silicone unit. Other embodiments are comprised of any combination thereof. Each embodiment is designed to minimize set-up times and to create a mold cavity with a low resistance to fluid flow through the application of pressure differentials.

    • This invention relates to an apparatus for pressurizing a fluid and delivering a gas comprising a pump, an accumulator and a heater such that the pump pressurizes a quantity fluid received from a fluid store and delivers that pressurized fluid to an accumulator. The accumulator then delivers a quantity of the pressurized fluid to a heater that, in turn, warms the fluid to a gas within a specified temperature and pressure range to be delivered to the end user as required. The invention further relates to a method of delivering a gas at a desired pressure and temperature wherein a quantity of fluid is received, pressurized and stored as a fluid in an accumulator storage vessel at a desired pressure. The fluid is then delivered from the accumulator to a heater where it is warmed and delivered to the end user as a gas at specified temperature and pressure.

    • An adjustable safety bracket for use in roof construction provides a support for a safety barricade to be erected along the edge of the roof. The bracket assembly includes an attachment member which engages the free end of a roof support bracket, such as a roof joist, and a support member which is pivotally connected to the attachment member at an outer end thereof. The attachment member includes a channel portion which engages the free end of the roof support member and further includes a yoke in which the support member is pivotally supported. The support member includes a stop surface aligned with the channel portion such that when installed, the stop surface faces the free end of the roof support member and the free end limits the rotation of the support member within the attachment member.
