    • A sheet transport system for automatically transporting sheets is provided. The system includes a primary path apparatus for feeding printed sheet images there, along a printing station to imprint sheets. The sheet transport system also provides an apparatus for transporting selected ones of the sheets along the path to a sheet path portion remote from the primary path and for returning selected ones of the sheets to the other fed sheets so that the combined sheets are arranged in a collated manner corresponding to the predetermined sequence. The system also includes, in the secondary or shunt path, a buffer for holding sheets previously passing through the printing station. The secondary path is arranged to permit selected return of ones of the sheets in the shunt path to the primary path. The system may also include a path for returning printed sheets in the primary path to the printing station. Thus, the sheet handling system provides for selective reordering of imaged sheets to promote improved printing operations.

    • A cleaning housing supports in cleaning relationship a closely spaced combination of an upstream brush roll cleaner and an adjacent downstream foam or poromeric roll cleaner. Subsequent to release of toner from the surface, toner is carried away from the charge retentive surface on the fibers of the brush or the surface of the foam rolls. A blower creates a directed air flow for the removal of toner from the cleaning rolls. Mechanical toner removal devices may also be used to release toner from the roll surfaces. The brush roll cleaner provides a primary cleaning function, while the foam roll cleaner provides a secondary cleaning function as a back up to the brush roll cleaner and an abrading function for the removal of film buildup on the charge retentive surface.

    • Image systems and methods adjust hue angles of one or more colors in an image. The adjusted image may be output to a printer for printing. An image quality control is provided to allow a user to select one or more specific colors whose rendition is unacceptable. Each color may be tested to see if that color is outside the range of colors which can be printed accurately or acceptably on the target printer. If the selected color is outside the range of printable colors, a variety of alternatives can be offered to arrive at the best possible rendition. Otherwise, a variety of hue shifts can be offered, where each hue shift alters the rendition of only those colors having hue angles that are near the offensive color.
