    • A soil cultivating implement or rotary harrow has a row of soil-working members rotatably mounted on upwardly extending shafts. Driving means rotates the shafts and tools, preferably tines, are moved through the soil to work same. Fluid material from a container on a supporting structure is passed in the worked soil through injectors located adjacent the soil-working member. The injectors can be included with each soil-working member and can comprise one or more tine injectors. The injectors extend into the ground and conduct fluid through ducts and passages from the container into the ground. A roller at the rear of the injectors smooths the worked soil.

    • A rotary harrow has a transverse frame, including an elongated hollow beam, and rotatable soil working tined members are mounted on upwardly extending shafts journalled in the beam. A supporting elongated roller has arms that adjustably connect to the frame and the roller also extends transverse to the direction of travel, at the rear of the beam. Vertical plate supports on the top of the beam extend upwardly and rearwardly and a tool bar is interconnected to the rearmost extremities of the supports so that seed drills, etc. can be secured in place to the rear of the soil working members. The tool bar also extends transverse and across the width of the frame.

    • A soil cultivating machine has a row of driven rotatable soil working members and a tool bar at the rear thereof to which tools, such as seed drills can be attached. The machine is connectable to a tractor lift and the members are driven via a p.t.o. At least one supporting member is detachably connected to the machine frame and the tool bar for operational support and transport purposes. The supporting member is elongated and extends rearwardly from the frame above the tool bar and to a rear support wheel. The supporting member includes a forward support that is pivoted to a rear arm and a hydraulic assembly bridges the pivot connection. Actuation of the assembly lifts the machine, including any tools on the tool bar so that the entire machine with attachments are supported solely by the tractor lift and the rear wheel or wheels.

    • A rotary harrow or cultivator tine has an upper fastening portion that is tightly received in a holder. The fastening portion is integral with a lower soil working portion that terminates in a tip and the two portions are angled with respect to one another. The soil working portion has a generally round cross section for a part of its length that is tapered outwardly to form a leading rib with respect to the intended direction of rotation of the tine. In the lower region adjacent the tip, the cross section of the soil working portion becomes less round and can merge into a polygonal cross section region having grooves and flat sides.

    • A cultivator implement has at least one frame portion that houses a row of soil working members connected to driving means which rotates those members about corresponding upwardly extending axes. A supporting frame is designed to overlie and support the soil working members during operation and/or transport of the implement. The supporting frame comprises a plurality of substantially parallel beams that extend transverse to the normal direction of operative travel. The beams are spaced apart and positioned at different levels above the ground and interconnected with plates for strength and to properly support the implement. The beams are of angular, preferably square, cross section so that a diagonal of a beam extends substantially vertical for further strength. A coupling member is interconnected to the beams with struts so that the implement can be attached to a prime mover for operation.

The elements are connected to arms that are jack-knifed and pivoted to turn about an axis located above the frame. A rotary soil compressing member may be attached to the rear of the frame.

    • Disclosed is a cultivator mounted to roll about a horizontal axis transverse to the direction of travel of the machine in combination with a hopper. The cultivator and hopper are mounted on a frame which is adapted to be connected to a three-point hitch of a tractor. The cultivator is connected to the frame under and behind the hopper and by a pivotal shaft which interconnects bearings confined fore and aft by U-profiles. The cutivator is thus tiltable within limits relative to the frame and hopper and is also turnable within limits so that the cultivator turns with the tractor. It also provides support for the hopper. A centrifugal air pump is mounted on the hopper which, via a pair of venturi-type devices, draw in granular material, such as seed, from the hopper for distributing same on the soil, the hopper having a pair of metering devices which meter granular material received by the venturi-devices. The venturi-type devices are mounted at the bottom of the metering devices to be hingeably or slidably removable so that granular material can be collected in buckets or the like directly from the metering devices to ascertain the rate that granular material is being dispensed by the metering devices.
