摘要： A connection assembly for joining a gas supply line to an article, the assembly comprising a first member having first and second ends, inner and outer walls; and a through passage between said ends; a second member having first and second ends, the second end engagable with the first member via the first end of the first member, the second end of the first member connectable to the article and the first end of the second member connectabte to a gas line; wherein the connection between the first and second members is arranged to allow relative movement between the first and second members such that either of the first and second members are each able to rotate axially relative to the other member through a 360 degrees arc about longitudinal axes through each member and to each move relative to the other member between a first disposition where the longitudinal axes of the first and second members are in alignment and at least one second disposition where at least the second member is disposed at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the first member.

摘要： A mask (10) for supplying gas under pressure to the nasal airway of a human includes a manifold (30) including means (36) for connection to a gas supply means, a gas supply element or elements (26) for providing said gas to the nasal airway without pressurising the exterior of the nose and a flexible strap (12) formed from an elastomeric material for securing the manifold (30) in position. The strap (12) extends either side of the manifold (30) and is shaped to generally conform with the shape of the upper lip and adjacent cheek area to act as a distributed anchor means for the mask (10).

摘要： In an electronic monitoring system for medical use, such as an electronic stethoscope, a transducer records at least one channel of sound information from a subject. A readout device displays a visual trace representing a channel of sound information relative to time. An audio system selectively replays sound information recorded from a subject and displayed by a visual trace. The readout device also displays a cursor which travels over the visual trace as the sound information is replayed to identify the instant on the visual trace that corresponds to the sound heard at the same instant.
