A position determination subsystem is capable of determining a position in three dimensions of at least one mobile entity within the region. A control subsystem is capable of variably controlling a light output of the at least one lighting apparatus according to the position of the mobile entity. The system may determine position by radio ranging with mobile electronic elements. The system may include multiple lighting elements and may determine light levels according to positions of multiple mobile entities. The system may include a database of information about lighting elements, mobile entities, and lighting plans that may be selected from mobile electronic elements.

摘要： A system and method that uses non-invasive method, such as a wearable module equipped with sensors placed on a subject connected to a computer-linked module, to monitor life signs like heartbeat waveforms, body temperatures, indicating the health of a living being or a dynamic system. The health of the system is defined by a set of known good spectra with deviations triggering alerts. A garment embedded with a piezoelectric material and a temperature sensor, when placed in contact with the body, captures acoustic waves from the heart and body temperature. Both sensors are connected to a garment-mounted module with a flexible printed antenna. Another module with reconfigured daughterboard software forms a bidirectional wireless data connection to a computer. A software program compares the received spectrum to its database spectrum based on a set of rules and alerts the user when it deviates.

摘要： A heating element made from flexible circuit technology with a single contiguous heating zone for uniform heating or multiple temperature heating zones is described. These flexible heating elements can conform to three dimensional object surfaces with irregular shape. The heating element's overall flexibility and its thickness (in the region of 10 mils) allow for heating many object shapes in an efficient, compact and light-weight manner. Each thermal sensor or thermostat is used to regulate each heating zone and provide a unique temperature setting. A thermostat can be mounted directly on an object's metallic surface. In addition, using diodes connected to the flexible heating element is described here to allow the use of two or multiple voltage sources. The technique permits one heating element to be powered from either AC or DC sources with comparable heating characteristics from both. The technique also eliminates the use of a transformer, which makes the heating solution simple and particularly compact and lightweight.

This invention can use a dual powered technology to power the heater directly from 110/220V AC wall outlets or 12V DC automotive outlets without needing power adapters. The heater's power plug can be a magnetic breakaway connector, accessible through an opening in the insulated bag. Two colored LED indicators can be used to indicate the source of power. A set of detachable feet that fit into the keyhole slot of the heater can allow it to stand independently. The Nonstick, water-resistant heater surface can allow it to serve heated food directly, replacing the ubiquitous fire hazard, Sterno.

摘要： A contact or proximity network map defines who and what objects have come in contact of each other including location and time. This map selects the list people who have come in contact with known infected people based on contagious disease epidemiology criteria for the purpose of control its spread, or to prevent radiation poisoning, limit bio-chemicals exposure, etc. This selected list of people then undergoes testing and quarantine procedures. It can monitor hygiene practices and reduce nosocomial infections in hospitals and mitigate the pandemic flu threat by controlling spread and control contamination. It controls people interaction, information flow in a high security environment, control crime or gang activities. Each person or object has a proximity-sensing device with unique ID, which is recorded by the encountered units during contact. This information is stored with time stamp in a relational database. It generates contact maps with real time replication of its database via a central web database for retrieval and analysis at any site.
