    • A carrying case for protecting heat sensitive materials includes a first portion, a second portion, and a closure device. The closure device seals the first portion to the second portion. Each portion includes a retainer which contains a phase change material. The retainer is covered on an outside with an insulation layer. The insulation layer and retainer are preferably covered with a fabric layer. A second embodiment of a carrying case for protecting heat sensitive materials includes a cover, a container, and a closure device. The walls of the container and cover preferably include a retainer which contains phase change material, an insulation layer, an outer fabric layer, and an inner fabric layer. A third embodiment of a carrying case for protecting heat sensitive materials includes a pouch which is sealable with a closure device. The wall of the pouch preferably includes a fabric outer layer, a flexible foam outer layer, a phase change layer, a flexible foam inner layer, and a fabric inner layer. The closure device for all embodiments may be a zipper; a hook and loop fastener; a latch or any other suitable closure device.

    • An odor control additive present in a litter formulation provides release of fragrance or odor masking scent only when litter is used by a cat or other animal within a litter box. The odor control additive comprises a plurality of fragrance scent microcapsules that contain fragrance scent oil. This central, fragrance scent oil is encapsulated in a microcapsule cell wall, which prevents evaporation of the fragrance scent oil and prevents overpowering of litter smell in a closed room resembling an unscented litter composition. When cat or animal enters the litter box, a load is applied to the fragrance scent microcapsules, which readily breaks releasing the fragrance contained therein. The fragrance scent microcapsule cell walls also degrade by swelling and degradation when wet by animal urine thereby releasing fragrance. Fragrance evaporating from the ruptured microcapsules provides odor control and a pleasant scent.

    • A method and apparatus are disclosed for improving space charge neutralization adjacent a magnet of an ion implanter by confining the electrons inside a magnetic region thereof to reduce electron losses and therefore improve the transport efficiency of a low energy beam. A magnetic pole member for a magnet of an ion implanter is provided that includes an outer surface having a plurality of magnetic field concentration members that form magnetic field concentrations adjacent the magnetic pole member. Electrons that encounter this increased magnetic field are repelled back along the same magnetic field line rather than allowed to escape. An analyzer magnet and ion implanter including the magnet pole are also provided so that a method of improving low energy ion beam space charge neutralization in an ion implanter is realized.

    • A bandage remains securely attached to the skin of a wearer during extended exposure to arid, humid or wet conditions. The bandage is readily removed from the attached condition upon application of pressure to its exterior surface. Adhesive portions of the contain pockets or microcapsules filled with an adhesive-inactivating ingredient. The pockets are formed in the backing layer. Microcapsules, if present, are incorporated in the adhesive. The adhesive inactivating ingredient comprises oil from vegetable source, mineral source or fatty acids. The wearer ruptures the pockets or microcapsules by applying pressure to the bandage above the adhesive portions. The adhesive-inactivating ingredient is thereby released at the skin-adhesive interface, permitting an easy, pain-free removal of the bandage.
