摘要： A land-leveling system that uses the Global Positioning System is provided. The system provides for an earth-moving machine mounted with an antenna that receives GPS signals from the satellites of the Global Positioning System. The earth-moving machine comprises a vehicle attached to a work implement, which is also connected to an actuator. A decision unit mounted on the vehicle sends control signals to the actuator, which controls the elevation of the work implement. These control signals are generated using the signals received from the antenna and the desired grade map. This system has an increased coverage area, more accuracy and round-the-clock operability. The system could be used to carry out all the land-leveling operations viz. surveying, leveling and verifying.

摘要： Method and apparatus for manufacture and inspection of flat articles, such as flat planel display substrates, that are manufactured in a contamination-sensitive environment. In particular, a manufacturing step such as applying coatings to the article is performed in a self-contained micro-environment, typically characterized by an airborn particulate concentration which is substantially lower than its surroundings. Automated inspection apparatus is provided inside the self-contained micro-environment of the fabrication equipment to inspect the article after completion of the fabrication step and before transfer of the article to other fabrication equipment. The inspection apparatus includes an illumination subsystem illuminating the article with various configurations of dark field and bright field illumination, a staring array sensor capturing images of the article under various illumination configurations and a computer that analyzes the images to automatically detect defects.

摘要： A gantry crane system includes a frame structure having a plurality of vertical support legs and one or more members interconnecting predetermined pairs of the vertical support legs; and a positioning system including positioning sensors mounted to the frame structure and configured to receive positioning signals from positioning transmitters and a position processing unit configured to use the positioning signals to determine a deflection from vertical of at least one of the vertical support legs. In certain embodiments, the gantry crane system further includes a grappler assembly mounted to the frame structure. The position processing unit is configured to use the positioning signals to determine a location of the grappler assembly.
