摘要： A piston with a centrally located recessed area around the outer wall for containing oil on a continuous basis during engine operation. The recessed area is provided with apertures in fluid communication with passageways in the wrist pin, connecting rod, and crank shaft. An oil pump directs oil or lubricant through the passageways to the recessed area during engine operation for lubrication and prevention of compression loss. A heat resistent elastomeric oil ring is provided on the side wall of the piston above the recessed area for prevention of oil flow upwards toward the head of the piston.
