摘要： In various embodiments of the invention, a server monitors a network for a startup message from a client computer as appropriate. The server may include a computer application that generates configuration instructions in response to commands from an administrator and/or information obtained from a client computer. The instructions may be in the form of scripts, data, objects, or the like. The instructions may be passed to the client computer, which may execute various administrative functions as directed. In exemplary embodiments, the instructions may command direct placement, verification and/or replacement of files, directory entries, BIOS attributes or other characterisitics of the client computer.

摘要： A flexible armor system includes a rigid panel of a stiffness calculated to resist penetration by a known ballistic object, made from multiple layers of Ultra High Molecular Weight Poly-Ethylene fibers or other high tenacity fibers, which is then pre-flexed beyond its elastic bending limit to create a distributed pattern of surface buckling, with localized areas of interior delamination, which together function as bending or hinge lines to provide flexibility to the otherwise rigid panel and thereby lower its overall stiffness to less than that calculated for the rigid panel to resist the ballistic object. The areas of delamination have a width of less than one half the diameter of the ballistic object.

摘要： Techniques for adhering metal backed cube corner Retroreflective tapes to a variety of fabric types, such as Gortex™, by applying a thermoset adhesive to the back of the tape at temperatures below the activation temperature (e.g., at about the melt temperature), and then subsequently applying the tape to the garment at temperatures above the adhesive activation temperature. This permits adhesive bonding to both the fabric and the tape at the same time, which in turn provides improved performance through numerous wash and wear cycles.
