    • Various embodiments of a detachable electronic drum are described. In one aspect, an electronic drum includes a main support base having a central portion and a periphery surrounding the central portion, a striking unit disposed on the central portion of the main support base, an annular top cover disposed over and around the striking unit such that the striking unit is disposed between the main support base and the annular top cover, and an annular elastic collar coupled to the periphery of the main support base. The annular elastic collar is configured to hook to a drum hoop of a conventional drum when the electronic drum is attached to the conventional drum and disposed over a drumhead of the conventional drum such that no other portion of the electronic drum is in contact with the conventional drum.

The acoustic unit has a first primary side and a second primary side. The first primary side is configured to receive impacts by a bass drum beater of a bass drum pedal. The second primary side is configured to conformably contact a drumhead of a bass drum, the acoustic unit configured to output a digital bass drum signal representative of a sound of the bass drum in response to the first primary side receiving an impact. The connection unit is configured to couple to a hoop of a bass drum. The support member is coupled between the acoustic unit and the connection unit, and is configured to elevate the acoustic unit a predefined distance from the connection unit.

The vibration resonance member may include a hub portion centrally located in the vibration resonance member, a plurality of radial portions extending radially from the hub portion, and a plurality of ring portions. Each of the radial portions may traverse through and connect at least some of the plurality of ring portions. Ring portions of the plurality of ring portions may be concentrically arranged with each ring portion adjacent to one another. The vibration damping member, disposed between and in direct contact with the percussion member and the vibration resonance member, may propagate the vibrations generated by the percussion member to the vibration resonance member.
