    • Disclosed is a gas turbine fuel injector and swirler assembly, including: a delivery tube structure arranged on a central axis of the fuel injector and swirler assembly, a first fuel supply channel arranged in the delivery tube structure, a shroud surrounding the delivery tube structure, swirl vanes arranged between the delivery tube structure and the shroud, a radial passage in each swirl vane, communicating with the first fuel supply channel, a set of apertures open between the radial passage and the exterior surface of said each swirl vane, wherein a second fuel supply channel is arranged in the delivery tube structure extending to a downstream end of the delivery tube structure and a mixer with lobes for fuel injection is arranged at the downstream end. Further disclosed is an assembly method for assembling a fuel injector and swirler assembly.

    • The present invention presents a flexible method for source-based message routing in a network node, particularly also suitable for flexible load distribution of the traffic via a number of link sets terminating directly at an adjacent first network element. The method uses data structures which are often already available in existing systems or are simple to set up, of providing a number of link sets between two signaling points. A two-stage routing process is initiated based on the setting up of a message node, which supports a number of logical networks or signaling point codes. In the first stage a logical network is selected, in which the message is to be routed further. In the second stage the message is routed in the selected network.

    • Drive elements whose physical volume is considerably smaller than piezoelectric actuators for comparable mechanical characteristics and actuation travels can be developed on the basis of the magnetostrictive material Tb.sub.x Dy.sub.1-x Fe.sub.2 (Terfenol). Despite these characteristics, magnetostrictive actuators have until now been used only where no rapid switching processes or actuation movements are required. An actuator of compact construction responds to an electrical drive signal very quickly and can produce large actuation forces. The actuator typically contains N.apprxeq.100 drive elements (1, 1') which are arranged one above the other in the form of a stack, are each of layered construction, and are provided with electrical connections. The drive elements (1, 1') each have a small metal plate (4, 4'), which is arranged between two insulators (2, 2', 3, 3'), and an actuator element (5, 5') which is manufactured from Terfenol. When current flows through it, the small metal plate (4, 4'), which is slotted in a U-shape, acts as a planar annular coil whose magnetic field passes through the actuator element (5, 5') and causes magnetostriction there.

    • The superconducting device has a cryogenic system to whose first refrigerant there is thermally coupled a superconducting unit and a superconducting switching path, which is electrically connected to said unit and is to be activated thermally by a heater, of a superconducting switch. A first pipeline to whose end the superconducting switching path is thermally coupled is to be connected to a refrigerant space of the superconducting unit. In order to ensure reliable heating of the switching path upon activation of the heater, the first pipeline is to have a cross sectional constriction impeding the exchange of heat with the refrigerant space. Moreover, the switching path is to be thermally coupled to a comparatively higher temperature level via a further, closed pipeline with a second refrigerant.
