摘要： Ophthalmic tissue delivery devices that include an injector and injector carriers and methods for endothelial keratoplasty surgical procedures are provided. Injectors include a conduit sized to accommodate ophthalmic tissue. One end of the injector is configured for insertion into a patient's eye to inject ophthalmic tissue. Injector carriers include a container, a cap configured to seal an opening of the container. The injector can be coupled to a pressure actuated valve and a syringe where activating the syringe opens the value and allows fluid to flow from the syringe, through the valve, and through the injector to dispense ophthalmic tissue from the injector into a patient's eye without the need to physically contact the ophthalmic tissue.

摘要： An ophthalmic camera (10) comprising a camera (12) having a lens (18) aligned with a second lens (16) and at least one illumination means (14). The illumination means (14) is capable of movement relative to the camera lens (18) so that the beam of light emitted by the illumination means (14) is able to be focused by the second lens (16) through the pupil onto the fundus. In another embodiment, the ophthalmic camera comprises a camera (52), an illumination means (54) and a beamsplitter (58). The camera (52) and the beamsplitter (58) from an alignment axis X and the illumination means (54) together with the beam splitter (58) form an illumination axis Y perpendicular to the alignment axis X. The illumination means (54) is capable of movement relative to the illumination axis Y so that the beam of light reflected by the beamsplitter (58) towards the pupil (70) is substantially the same size as the pupil (70) to maximize the amount of light entering the pupil without impinging upon the iris to avoid contracting of the pupil (70).

摘要： A portable, handheld ultraviolet light delivery apparatus for sanitization target surfaces is configured to deliver ultraviolet light at the lower end of the UVC band (i.e., having shorter wavelengths) with the majority of the ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 222 nm. The ultraviolet light delivery apparatus includes a light source positioner secured to the front side of the case where the light source positioner is configured to maintain a constant distance between the ultraviolet light source and a target surface to be sanitized. The ultraviolet light delivery apparatus further includes a timer relay that removes power from the ultraviolet light after a specified exposure duration has elapsed so as to control the dose of ultraviolet light delivered to the target surface.

摘要： A composite device which may be implanted in the cornea of the human eye to replace damaged or diseased portions, and a method of manufacturing the said device, are disclosed. The device consists of a transparent central portion intimately attached to an opaque spongy rim. Both portions are made of hydrogel materials produced in different conditions of polymerization during a two-stage process performed in a specific moulding unit. The spongy rim promotes and maintains cellular invasion from the host corneal tissue, thus providing a tight union between implant and recipient cornea which prevents the postoperative extrusion of the implant.
