    • A building element (10) is formed from sheet material having opposite major surfaces (11, 12) that extend between longitudinal edges (13, 14). Margins of the sheet adjacent the longitudinal edges are turned out of a mid-plane of the sheet to form opposite profiled sections (15 and 16). The major surfaces (11, 12) of the building element have different surface characteristics, and one profiled section has one of the major surfaces as its outer surface, and the other profiled section has the other major surface as its outer surface.

    • Disclosed is a substantially rectangular plinth member for installation at the base of a fence to at least partially close a space between the fence and a ground surface underneath the fence. The plinth member is elongate and comprises a first major surface and an opposite second major surface. The plinth member has a major axis and a minor axis extending perpendicular thereto, the major and minor axes defining a notional centre plane of the plinth member. The plinth member has first and second end margins at its respective opposite ends along the major axis and third and fourth end margins at its respective opposite ends along the minor axis. A plurality of substantially parallel stiffening formations are defined by portions of the plinth member that are displaced from the notional centre plane, extend between the first and second end margins, and are spaced apart between the third and fourth end margins. The stiffening formations are configured such that the plinth member has a greater pressure load bearing capacity when loaded on the first major surface than it has when loaded on the second major surface.

    • The gate (10) comprises a pair of opposite side frame members (20, 22) wherein each said side frame member has a respective aperture (32), the apertures being disposed opposite to one another. The gate also includes a pair of opposite end frame members (24, 26) and infill typically in the form of an infill panel (12) for restricting egress through the gate (10). The pair of end frame members (24, 26) span from one of the side frame members (20, 22) to the other of the side frame members (20, 22), and opposite ends of one of the end frame members are received in the apertures (32) of the side frame members. The end frame members and the side frame members form a peripheral frame about the infill panel (12), and at least one of the apertures (32) in the side frame members is dimensioned to form a space for permitting relative movement of the end frame members (24, 26) toward each other to fixedly hold the infill panel in position within the frame during assembly of the gate.
