    • A plastic insert member includes a base body containing a through passage, said through passage having opposite axial opening ends, at least one connecting rib projecting from the outer periphery of the base body for connecting the insert member to a container member, and distributor means formed on the base body adjacent one of the axial opening ends of the through passage for transversely deflecting at least a portion of a flow of fluid emerging from said one opening end. The distributor means comprise at least a single distributor bar transversely bridging over said one opening end in spaced relationship therefrom, said distributor bar being movable between a position bridging over said one opening end of the through passage and a position in which it does not bridge over said one opening end of the through passage. Preferably a barrier wall extends across the through passage at an axial portion thereof intermediate the axial opening ends thereof and is integrally connected with the base body through a weakening means adapted to rupture under an axial force exerted on the barrier wall.

    • A valve has a base body fitted in an opening and having a through passage formed at one end with a first valve surface. A valve element in the base body and has axial ends one of which forms second valve surface sealingly fittable with the first valve surface to close the through passage. A stem in the through passage is coupled to the valve element to move it between the closed and open positions. A plurality of abutment arms projecting inward from an inner peripheral wall of the through passage define with a shaft region of the valve element a clearance and define a radial gap between opposite arms which is greater than a radial dimension of the shaft region and smaller than a radial dimension of a shoulder of the valve element.

    • A pouch adapted to contain a fluent material has a fitting having a base fitted hermetically to the pouch and having a surface exposed in the pouch. A tubular spout projects outward from the base and forms with the base a throughgoing passage opening into the pouch and having an inner surface. A liner of a barrier material covers both of the surfaces. A layer of plastic covers inner surfaces of the liner. This layer of plastic can be unitary with the base and spout so that the liner is imbedded in the base and spout, or a separate not unitary piece fitted over the liner to the fitting. Normally the liner is unitarily formed of one piece, and is in fact a generally T-shaped body like the combined spout and base.
