摘要： A lifter picks up different style residential refuse collection carts, without requiring operator adjustments. An upper movable clamp bar with adjustable closure timing cooperates with a finger support bar to grab a cart type having a single upper lifting lip and otherwise smooth sides. A hinged saddle and hinged sliding hook lift carts having a pair of opposing engagement surfaces such as lift bars. The hinged members are automatically pivoted into retracted positions during presentation of the smooth sided style cart, but are otherwise maintained in place for engaging carts of the other type. The lifter has a relatively short face plate for size and weight advantages, made possible by alternate downward extension and subsequent retraction of the hinged sliding hook during a lift cycle. Rollers on the extending portion of the face plate prevent cart scarring. Adjustment for different height carts is provided by a vertical lift assembly which uses a hydraulic sequencing valve to first raise the lifter to an appropriate height for engaging the cart and then to cycle through a dumping process. The combination of compact lifter thickness and length enhances lifter usage with front load box truck arrangements or with rear or side truck locations.

摘要： A lifting apparatus includes two pairs of lift arms having respective displaced pivot points on a movable carriage for projecting such carriage up into a refuse-receiving opening of a garbage truck, and in an inverted position so as to dump the contents of a receptacle held on such carriage. The two pairs of arms are also axially nested in a co-planar orientation when the carriage is in its fully lowered position, so as to minimize the overall width of the lifting apparatus. A particular hydraulic rotary motor having a relatively thin width may be used to actuate the apparatus. The hydraulic rotary motor utilizes meshed rack and pinion teeth generally within the confines of a cylinder thereof for minimizing the width of the cylinder block. Also, the rack and pinion teeth remain enclosed within such cylinder immersed in hydraulic fluid passing therethrough so as to lubricate the moving components for prolonging their service life with less maintenance. A plurality of cylinders may be aligned in parallel, and share a common pinion gear output shaft, with each cylinder having a reciprocating piston rod supporting rack teeth for engagement with such pinion gear. A lifting apparatus as presently described in combination with the disclosed hydraulic rotary motor can have minimized width while still being capable of repetitively handling full weight loads with reduced maintenance and projecting same a selected distance up into a garbage truck, which also reduces the need for successive compaction of the dumped receptacle contents after each dumping cycle.

摘要： A priority hydraulic flow diverter control assembly for a refuse collection vehicle hydraulic system provides proper and efficient flow in an auxiliary hydraulic circuit regardless of the primary flow so that refuse cart lifters and the refuse cart operate safely and efficiently. A pressure sequence valve diverts hydraulic fluid flow from the refuse cart lifter circuit into the downstream main hydraulic system when downstream back pressure is low, and into the system tank when back pressure is high. This allows all hydraulic operated equipment to operate at their intended speed whether at high or low system back pressure.A differential pressure sensing valve and flow regulating valves provide a precision flow. Harmful and undesirable vibrations and noise associated with pulses in hydraulic system pressure are reduced using a control orifice located in the valve body. A relief valve ensures that the diverter control assembly is compatible with other manufacturer's products.
