摘要： A beverage container lid is disclosed whereby the contents of the container may be accessed via a foldable tear strip flap defined by two score lines directed radially on the lid surface, a lift tab at the peripheral sealing skirt which mates with the rim of the container, and a multi-grooved hinge that allows for easy folding of the flap into a recess in the lid surface. Each of the two side walls of the recess has a retaining lug whereby when the user desires access to the container the flap is torn free of the peripheral sealing skirt by means of the lift tab, folded back, and inserted into the recess so as to wedge the flap below the retaining lugs which secure the flap by its opposite edges.

The container neck terminates in an annular end wall having a plurality of circumferentially spaced ratchet teeth which coact with the top of the closure cap allowing threading on but locking the cap to the container against unthreading removal. Tamper indication can be provided by an integrally molded insert across the dispensing orifice which is removed by a pull tab.

The platform is in the shape of a segment of the circle formed by the circular base with a downwardly extending face provided along a chord of the circle which, with an arcuate raised rim about the circular base forms the bounds of the recess.

摘要： A bottle that can be used for preventing spillage when the bottle is tilted for positioning the bottle so that all of the liquid therein is received by an intended receptacle for the liquid. The bottle is made of a flexible material that may be squeezed to decrease the interior volume of the bottle, and has an elongated neck terminating in an opening that is wide enough to enable viscous liquid to pour freely therethrough from the bottle when the bottle is tilted. An airtight seal is secured to the perimeter of the neck and closes the opening for preventing liquid from being poured from the opening when the bottle is tilted; and the seal is rupturable upon pressure being exerted thereon by the contents of the bottle when the container is squeezed. In order to prevent the seal from being ruptured during handling of the bottle prior to such time as it is desired to pour the liquid from the bottle, a cap is fitted over the opening of the bottle and contacts the seal to counteract any pressure applied against the seal as a result of the squeezing the bottle and thereby prevents the seal from being ruptured.

摘要： A package with spreader is hermetically sealed for storing relatively stiff spreadable materials such as butter until ready for use. The package includes a base having a relatively stiff spreader blade partially defined by a blade spread side surface and an opposed base supply side. The base also includes a deformable blister for holding the spreadable material. The blister is open through the blade to its spread side surface and extends outwardly from the blade on the supply side of the base. A peelable membrane initially seals the butter inside of the blister by being in sealing relation to the spread side surface of the blade. A portion of the membrane is manually peelable from sealing relation with respect to part of the blade and uncovers a portion of the blister to provide a butter delivery opening through which the butter can be forced by digital pressure on the outside of the blister. The butter can then be immediately spread using the sealing side surface of the blade.
