摘要： A high temperature stable catalyst is made with fine particles of a base metal such as chromium, hafnium and niobium or their oxides dispersed throughout a matrix made of composite particles having at least one platinum group metal on a ceria promoted, high temperature chemically stabilized refractory oxide powder. The refractory oxide powder can be either alumina, alumina powder which has been calcined at a temperature near incipient alpha alumina formation, silica-alumina or zirconia. The base metal or base metal oxide comprises about 15% to 90% by weight of the total weight and the platinum group metal comprises 0.05% to 10% by weight of the total weight. The catalyst composition can be applied as a washcoat to conventional substrates or it can be formed into shaped catalysts. The washcoat is made by mixing together one slip containing the composite particles with a second slip containing the base metal or base metal oxide particles.

摘要： Selective production of C.sub.5 -C.sub.40 hydrocarbons containing C.sub.5 -C.sub.20 hydrocarbons having a high paraffins content, i.e., for producing gasoline and diesel fuel and useful as a chemical feedstock, is achieved by contacting H.sub.2 /CO mixtures with supported ruthenium catalysts under conditions including elevated temperature and ratios of gas hourly space velocity/pressure below about 24,000 v/v/hr/MPaA to effect percent CO conversions at least about 20%. The ruthenium catalyst support contains a titanium oxide, niobium oxide, vanadium oxide or tantalum oxide and C.sub.5 -C.sub.40 hydrocarbons can be selectively obtained in about 60-90 weight percent of total hydrocarbon products.

摘要： An improved method for the synthesis of hydrocarbons with reduced methane formation and for the selective generation of olefinic hydrocarbons, preferably C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 olefins inclusive, which method comprises the steps of passing a CO and H.sub.2 synthesis gas stream over a catalyst at a temperature and pressure for a time sufficient to generate the desired olefinic products, wherein the improvement consists in using as a catalyst ruthenium on a support comprising at least one refractory Group VB metal oxide. The weight loading of the ruthenium may range from about 0.01 to about 15 wt. % based on the total catalyst weight. The ruthenium average crystallite size is preferably less than 5 nm (50A). The operating conditions of the instant process are typical for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
