    • A movable unit (50) is disposed between a loaded recording medium (1) and a bottom surface (4a) of a base chassis (4) opposite to the surface of the loaded recording medium (1). The movable unit includes a spindle motor (53), a head (51), guide shafts (52a, 52b) for supporting the head (51) movably in a radius direction of the recording medium (1), and a movable holding device (5), disposed at the base chassis (4) swingable downward to the bottom surface (4a), for holding the spindle motor (53), the head (51) and the guide shafts (52a, 52b). The movable holding device (5) holds at least one of the spindle motor (53), the head (51) and the guide shafts (52a, 52b) movably in a direction moving away from the bottom surface (4a) relative to the movable holding device (5). A limiting device (60a, 60b) is disposed between the movable unit (50) and the bottom surface (4a) for limiting a movable range of the movable unit (50), so that at least a part of the movable unit (50) is maintained with a distance apart from the bottom surface (4a), even if the movable holding device (5) swings down.

Also included is an earphone device including a pair of electro-acoustic transducers supplied with the 2-channel audio signal from the second signal processing circuit, and a detector for detecting movement of the head of the listener, wherein the second signal processing circuit performs the processing corresponding to an alteration of the transfer function in accordance with the output of the detector to control the location position of the acoustic image which is perceived by the listener.

    • A signal input at an input terminal (1) is divided into signals of two systems, and the signal of one system is supplied to a low-pass filter (2) and then fed to a downsampling processor (3). The downsampled signal is superimposed with an impulse response of a characteristic to be realized by an FIR filter (4), and outputted to an oversampling LPF (5), wherein a sampling frequency thereof is matched with a sampling signal of an inputted signal. The other signal of the second system of the two systems is extracted only as a high-band signal by a high-pass filter (6). The high-band signal is added to the output of the LPF (5) by an adder (7), and outputted from an output terminal (8). Thus, an accurate frequency response can be reproduced by use of an FIR filter with a short tap length.
