    • Method and class tables and an algorithm are provided for use in determining if a called method in a message should be retrieved and executed or a method search should initiated. The method table includes method name, method identifier, method overwrite data, class overwrite data and method memory storage location associated with the method related to the overwrite data. The algorithm sets a plurality of variables to an entry in the class table and at least one method and class data referenced in a message, searches the method table and sets search variables to the class and method overwrite data and determines if a predetermined relationship exists between the method and class identifier associated with the class and method data in the message as well as data in one of method entries. The method memory storage location is read out once a method entry with the predetermined relationship is found.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide an engine exhaust gas cleaning system which can accurately judge whether or not there is the remaining capacity in an NOx trapping amount of an NOx trapping agent, can optimize the timing of NOx purge control, and can diagnose the deterioration of the NOx trapping agent. The present invention is characterized by an engine exhaust gas cleaning system comprising an operating control parameter changing means for changing operating control parameters of the engine in order to change an amount of NOx trapped to the NOx trapping agent; a concentration detecting means for detecting a concentration of a specified component in the exhaust gas at a position downstream of the NOx trapping agent; an air-fuel ratio changing means for temporarily changing the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas to a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio or a rich air-fuel ratio with a preset period; and an NOx trapping amount change detecting means for detecting change in the amount of NOx trapped to the NOx trapping agent based on change in a detected result of the concentration detecting means when the air-fuel ratio is changed after changing the operating control parameter.

    • A sheet reverse apparatus for reversing a paper sheet discharged from an image forming apparatus has a mounting mechanism fixed to the image forming apparatus, and a power transmission mechanism. The power transmission mechanism is engaged with an output gear coupled to a drive source of the image forming apparatus, and transmits a driving force from the image forming apparatus to an input gear. The power transmission mechanism has a swingable plate and a spring for biasing the swingable plate in one direction. A movable gear meshed with the input gear and rotatable therearound is axially supported on the swingable plate. When the sheet reverse apparatus is mounted on the image forming apparatus, driving power from the sheet reverse apparatus can be supplied from the image forming apparatus through the input gear and the power transmission mechanism.
