    • A suction cleaner that sucks in dust, from a suction mouth of a suction mouth body, with airflow generated through operation of an electric air blower and introduces the sucked airflow into a dust collection device to collect the dust. The suction mouth body is provided with a first suction mouth and a second suction mouth. An agitator is arranged at the first suction mouth. The first suction mouth is selected by a suction mouth-switching device, and the agitator is driven when the suction is carried out from the first suction mouth. A mechanism for transmitting power to the agitator includes a driving pulley that co-rotates with the agitator, an idler that can be rotated independently of the agitator, and a belt that is shifted between the driving pulley and the idler by a belt-switching device.

    • A flat display unit has a chassis combining a display panel and circuit boards for driving the display panel into a unit in which the display panel and the circuit boards are mounted on respective opposite surfaces of the chassis. The chassis is provided with a bank (i.e., sidewall) extending about the periphery of opposite main surfaces of the chassis including at least the surface on which the display panel is mounted, perpendicularly to that surface and surrounding the periphery of the display panel 3, and hence protecting the display panel without requiring a protector, as is conventionally used during the processes of assembling, testing and transporting thereof. The chassis is also provided with through-holes and optionally with a cut-out, which are formed in the periphery of the chassis, for facilitating interconnections between the display panel and the circuit boards by flexible cables which pass therethrough.

    • The invention provides a mixer for forming a thin oil film on a surface of a drop of water which can effectively form a drop of water with an oil film. A mixer for forming a thin oil film on a surface of a drop of water is constituted by an oil mist forming chamber for forming an oil supplied from an outer portion in a mist shape by an air stream, a drop of water forming chamber for forming a water supplied from the outer portion by the air stream containing the oil formed in a mist shape in the oil mist forming chamber in a drop of water shape so as to form a drop of water with an oil structured such that a thin oil film is formed on a surface of the drop of water, and a top nozzle for discharging the drop of water with the oil film formed in the drop of water forming chamber to an outer portion. In accordance with the structure mentioned above, it is possible to effectively form the drop of water with the oil film.
