摘要： In a card flat bar having a card flat clothing, the card flat clothing is magnetically attached to the card flat bar body and, in use, lies opposite a clothed roller. In order to hold the clothing element against the card flat bar in a structurally simple way in the event of an increase in force on the clothing, especially to prevent the card flat clothing from making contact with the cylinder clothing, and to allow quick replacement of the card flat clothing strip, on the fibre material inlet side of the card flat clothing—seen in the direction of rotation of the roller—there is associated with the card flat bar a counter-bearing, stop or the like with which a base of the clothing co-operates in the direction towards the cylinder.

Clamping devices clamp the fiber bundle at a distance from its free end, and a mechanical device combs the free end to loosen and remove non-clamped constituents, for example, short fibers, neps, dust and the like. To increase productivity and obtain an improved combed sliver, downstream of the supply device there are at least two rotatably mounted rollers rotating rapidly without interruption, which are provided with the clamping devices, and measured value sensors for detecting values relating to the fibers or machine settings are connected to a control and regulation device, which is arranged to effect actions in dependence on the measured values.

The first measuring element comprises a temperature probe for the temperature of the roller surface. The second measuring element comprises a rotational speed sensor for the roller speed. To allow an actual carding nip to be determined, permitting a comparison with a preset carding nip, a third measuring element for the temperature of the holding devices is provided and the control device determines the actual spacing for the roller and the side panels.
