    • An open-end spinning device comprises a spinning rotor (21) rotating in a rotor housing with a spinning insert (24) supported rotatably with respect to the spinning rotor (21) coaxially to the rotor axis (33). The spinning insert (24) can be caused to rotate as a function of the rotary motion of the spinning rotor (21) via a contactless entrainment of the spinning insert (24) by means of permanent magnets (32) attached to the spinning insert (24). In this manner a simple and reliable entrainment and an automatic adjusting of the rotational speed of the spinning insert (24) in the spinning rotor (21) are achieved.

    • A rotor type open-end spinning machine of a structure in which fibers moving slidingly on an inner wall surface of an outer rotor (2) are prevented from falling at a location where a fiber bundle is being stripped off from a fiber collecting/bundling section (7) while being twisted concurrently. An inner rotor (5) is disposed within the outer rotor (2) and positively driven independently of the latter. A delivery passage (20) is formed in the inner rotor (5) for guiding a fiber bundle (F) bundled in a fiber collecting/bundling groove (7) to a yarn withdrawing passage (14). An annular negative-pressure chamber (6) is formed radially outward of the fiber collecting/bundling groove (7) of the outer rotor (2) with air discharge holes (9) being provided for communicating the negative-pressure chamber (6) to the exterior of the outer rotor (2). A plurality of air vent through-holes (8) are formed each at a location close to the delivery passage (20) with a predetermined distance therebetween in a circumferential direction for communicating an inner space defined in the outer rotor (2) to the negative-pressure chamber (6). A shield member (21) is formed on the inner rotor (5) for intercepting the air vent through-holes (8) from the negative-pressure chamber (6) except for those located in a predetermined region opposite the delivery passage (20).

    • In the case of a device for open-end rotor spinning with a spinning rotor, the spinning rotor is provided with a fiber collecting groove and a fiber sliding surface. The fiber sliding surface is provided with structured areas which are set in the opposite sense of rotation to the spinning rotor, viewed in the direction towards the fiber collecting groove. The mouth of a fiber feed duct is disposed facing the structured areas with a component in the sense of rotation of the spinning rotor. Due to the way they are arranged, the structured areas, which cross the path of the fibers, exert a propelling force on the fibers in the direction of the fiber collecting groove. The sliding of the fibers into the fiber collecting groove does not take place exclusively by means of the centrifugal forces anymore, so that in design the traditional angle of taper of the fiber sliding surface is not necessary.
