In a method for introducing a false twist in a yarn (7) generated in an open-end spinning device (1) of a rotor spinning machine (2), the yarn (7) is drawn off through a yarn draw-off nozzle (16) and pulled through false twist edges (19) in a false twist device (17) arranged downstream from the yarn draw-off nozzle (16), as a result of which the yarn (7) is imparted a false twist. The yarn (7) is exposed to a spatial deflection compared to its regular yarn draw-off direction (G) through the false twist edges (19), in which case an additional false twist is imparted to the yarn (7).

    • A yarn withdrawal nozzle for an open-end rotor spinning arrangement is provided which includes a spiral-shaped surface in the yarn deflecting area which extends essentially over the entire yarn deflecting area and designed as a continuous spiral without interruptions. In addition thereto, the nozzle throat of the yarn withdrawal nozzle includes a further surface with structure downstream of the spiral-shaped surface, including rounded notches or curved humps. Both the spiral-shaped surface and the downstream structure are so designed that they are capable of transferring forces to the yarn without damaging same. The yarn withdrawal nozzle is moulded with a mould separation provided in an area downstream of the nozzle throat to facilitate assembly.

    • An open-end spinning device comprises a spinning rotor (21) rotating in a rotor housing with a spinning insert (24) supported rotatably with respect to the spinning rotor (21) coaxially to the rotor axis (33). The spinning insert (24) can be caused to rotate as a function of the rotary motion of the spinning rotor (21) via a contactless entrainment of the spinning insert (24) by means of permanent magnets (32) attached to the spinning insert (24).
