One embodiment of the device may be reusable, recyclable, and transparent. Another embodiment of the device may comprise lightweight panels, at least a portion of which is transparent such that the stylist is able to view the results of the treatment process without opening the device. One embodiment of the device may be quickly and easily applied to and removed from the hair. Another embodiment of the device may be easily produced where all components of the device are integrally manufactured. An embodiment may also be adapted to comprise at least two compartments, such that multiple different chemical products may be simultaneously applied, while still retaining the benefits and advantages of the device.

摘要： A sleeve made to fit over braided or chemically-treated hair to encircle and retain selected segments of hair while allowing the hair style to remain relatively unaffected. The sleeve is typically made of a tubular body with an open top end and an open bottom end adapted to allow passage of the hair segments therethrough. The top end has a hem bordered by a circumferential inseam, and the hem is elasticized to retain the bundle of hair segments within the sleeve. The sleeve can be used by grasping a plurality of braids or hair segments, inserting the segments into the open top end of the sleeve, pulling the plurality of hair segments through the open bottom end of the sleeve, and then pulling the hem of the sleeve up to the scalp. This is typically repeated for each braid until all of the individual's braids are retained within a protective sleeve. The sleeve can also be part of a kit which includes a plurality of protective sleeves and directions for properly placing the sleeves over the braided hair.

摘要： A water extraction device for partially drying wet hair surrounding a perm rod disposed in a person's hair includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet. The inlet includes a shroud which is dimensioned to closely encompass the perm rod. A motor and fan are provided for producing a substantial vacuum at the inlet and a flow of air from the inlet to the outlet. The substantial vacuum pulls water from the wet hair and the flow of air transports the water toward the outlet. The device further includes one or more water separators for removing the water from the flow of air. The water separated from the air is stored in a holding tank or communicated directly to a plumbing drain. By drawing a flow of air through the wet hair in this manner, surface tension tending to hold water in capillary size passages defined between adjacent hair strands is overcome, thus entraining water droplets in the air flow for collection.
