摘要： A method of making a quilt includes a batting including a heat activated adhesive coating each side or faces of the batting. The quilt covers are attached to the batting by sequentially placing the covers onto the respective batting faces and heating each cover and adjacent adhesive by moving a hot iron over each cover. The covers are connected to each by a plurality of spaced yarn or other suitable decorative connecting means which extend through the covers and batting to secure the batting in place and may form a desired decorative pattern. The inactive adhesive remains in the quilt or is removed by washing of the quilt. The batting with the inactive adhesive is provided as a commercially available product.

摘要： This invention is a bicomponent meltblown microfiber nonwoven material wherein at least two different polymers have been extruded and spun together in either a side by side or core/sheath configuration and wherein at least one of the polymers is polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) and at least one of the polymers is one of but not limited to the following thermoplastics: polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polyamide (PA), and polylactide (PLA). The ratio of PTT to the other component ranges from 1:99 to 99:1, based on the weight of the polymers. The preferred weight ratio range of PTT:PP is 25:75 to 75:25 and the most preferred range is 25:75 to 50:50. The present invention also provides a process for making such a bicomponent fiber. The present invention also provides a process for making such a meltblown microfiber nonwoven material.

The fibers may be conjugate fibers. The fabric may have zones having larger fibers and zones having smaller fibers providing a means to vary the web properties, such as permeability, or the mixed size fibers may be uniformly distributed. The fibers may also be crimped. The process for making such a material is also disclosed.A zoned fiber fabric can provide rapid intake of an insult because of the placement of the high permeability zone in the insult target area and can also provide good distribution through the lower permeability but higher capillarity end zones.
