摘要： A circuit includes a differential input stage amplifier that receives a differential input voltage and generates an output voltage based on a difference in the differential input voltage. A feedback loop provides feedback from an output of the differential input stage amplifier to input tail current of the differential input stage amplifier. The feedback loop enables class AB operation of the differential input stage amplifier. At least one gain reducer is operatively coupled to the feedback loop to reduce the gain of the feedback loop. The gain reducer has a resistance value that varies inversely proportional to loop current in the feedback loop to reduce the gain of the feedback loop as loop current increases.

A triangular-wave correction circuit which compensates a gradient of a triangular wave is provided to a triangular-wave signal generator which supplies a triangular wave signal used as a PWM carrier to a comparison circuit for performing PWM modulation of an input signal. In an area where a duty of a command value for an output circuit drive becomes about 50%, a slew rate (gradient) of the triangular wave is decreased.

In one embodiment, a compensation circuit has a first terminal coupled to an output terminal of the circuit and a second terminal coupled to feed back the output voltage to an internal node. A damping circuit may also be coupled to the output terminal. The damping circuit adds a pole and a zero to the transfer function of the circuit. In one embodiment, the damping circuit modifies the effect of the output impedance of a load on the transfer function to increase the phase margin of the circuit such that the circuit remains stable over an increased range of output capacitor values.

A transformer having a secondary winding connected between an input terminal to which an input signal is applied and a positive differential output terminal, and a primary winding connected between a negative differential output terminal and an input node is provided as a feedback circuit between a cascode amplifier circuit, which includes transistors and a resistor, and an output circuit, which includes a transistor and a constant current source. Selective use of a transformer whose leakage inductance has an adequate value as the feedback transformer can realize a low noise amplifier which has a wide operating frequency band and a high dynamic range.
