摘要： Systems and methods for gasifying a feedstock are provided. A feedstock can be introduced to a riser. A first oxidant can be introduced to a first mixing zone within the riser, thereby generating a first high temperature zone within the first mixing zone proximate an entry point of the first oxidant. A first stream of water can be introduced to the first high temperature zone to reduce the temperature therein. A second oxidant can be introduced to a second mixing zone within the riser, thereby generating a second high temperature zone within the second mixing zone proximate an entry point of the second oxidant. A second stream of water can be introduced to the second high temperature zone to reduce the temperature therein. The feedstock and the first and second oxidants can be gasified in a gasification zone within the riser.

摘要： The procedure according to the invention allows the obtaining of lower alcohols from the solar energy produced at a high temperature solar thermal power plant which provides, from an energy point of view, the power supply necessary for every step of the procedure, supplying both the electricity power necessary to perform the intermediate steps of the procedure and, essentially, the products involved in the different steps (H2, O2, steam and CO2) starting from a supply of wet milled coal, wherein the by-products obtained during these different stages of the procedure are fed back to the procedure itself. The procedure allows the storage of the energy obtained from the sun as lower alcohols, and such alcohols, in turn, may become an alternative to the consumption of fossil fuels, eliminating the risk derived from the production of residues; consequently, it is an especially advantageous procedure, both from an environmental and a production point of view.

For example, in one embodiment, a system includes a flash vessel having a first inlet configured to introduce a first fluid into the flash vessel, wherein the flash vessel is configured to flash the first fluid to produce a first flash gas, a second inlet configured to introduce a stream from slag sump into the flash vessel, wherein the stream from slag sump comprises a mixture of a gasification fine slag, dissolved oxygen (O2), and water. A gas-liquid contactor in the flash vessel is configured to contact the stream from slag sump with the first flash gas to enable the first flash gas to deaerate the stream from slag sump. A first outlet of the vessel is configured to output an overhead discharge comprising the first flash gas and oxygen from the stream from slag sump.
