摘要： A method and apparatus for supplying heat and humidity to gas filled spaces by the addition of water to a dehydrated material that releases heat upon exposure to water, exposing the hydrated material to dry contacting gas which results in loss of water from the hydrated material to the contacting gas, the contacting gas being heated and humidified by such exposure, and subsequent dispersal of the added heat and humidity to the gas filled space. This sequence also results in regeneration of the dehydrated material so that these steps may be repeated. By limiting the amount of water addition to the dehydrated material within a cycle of the process, less time and/or energy is required to regenerate the dehydrated material and finer control of resultant living space humidity may be possible.

摘要： The present invention provides latent heat storage materials having enhanced fire-retardant properties. These include compositions of magnesia cement and a phase change material in which the magnesia cement is formed from magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, and water. The molar ratio of magnesium chloride to water may be in the range of about 1:17 to 1:32. The magnesium chloride may be dissolved in the water to give a solution having a Baumé in the range between 15° and 26°. The molar ratio of magnesium chloride to magnesium oxide may be in the range of about 1:1 to about 1:5, and the latent heat storage material may additionally comprises fillers, and/or intumescent agents. The phase change material may be a microencapsulated formulation. A process for making these compositions is disclosed.

The contemplated thermal interface material can be provided as a dispensable liquid paste, a gel, a tape, or a film. Applications of the contemplated thermal interface materials described herein comprise incorporating the materials into a layered material, an electronic component or a finished electronic product.
