摘要： An Anti-Terrorism water quality monitoring system for continuously monitoring a potable water treatment system and related potable water distribution network that provides potable water to a municipality, city, housing development or other potable water consumer. The system includes the collection of data from the water distribution system and from the water treatment facility and from advanced separation processes which are integrated into analytical instruments. The data collected are stored in a remote database on a remote server computer or bank of computers and accessible by Homeland Security or its designated agency. Preferred parameters of monitoring include the turbidity and disinfectant such as chlorine, hypochlorous acid, sodium hypochlorite, calcium hypochloritc, ozone, chlorine dioxide, chloramines, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid.

The disclosed control system comprises a membrane bioreactor (MBR) system and a microprocessor based controller that receives signals corresponding to selected measured MBR parameters and calculates or estimates one or more MBR calculated parameters including Membrane Conductivity (Fxc); and/or Oxygen Uptake Rate (OUR). The microprocessor based controller compares one or more calculated or estimated MBR parameters to prescribed setpoints or desired ranges and governs one or more pumps and valves in the MBR system to adjust the cleaning cycle the MBR system, the MBR flows in the MBR system, or the influent flow to the biological basin in response thereto.

The filters comprise a length of tubing configured to generate backpressure at the filter sufficient to facilitate the flow of a water sample through the filter without overpressurization.

摘要： A method and apparatus for operating an activated sludge plant having a plurality of tandem aeration zones, each receiving mixed liquor from an upstream zone or an upstream source and discharging a mixed liquor to a downstream zone or a downstream process includes a control which determines a parameter at a downstream one of the zones. The parameter is representative of a concentration of ammonia in the mixed liquor in the downstream one of the zones and may be used to control at least one upstream zone. A value of airflow to one of the zones may be determined and used to determine a demand for dissolved oxygen in the mixed liquor in that zone as a function of airflow to that zone. An elevated level of demand may be used to indicate a dump of commercial waste having a high BOD demand. A depressed level of demand may be used to indicate the presence of chemicals that inhibit bacterial respiration.
