摘要： A hot oil/fat fire extinguisher, comprising a frame which supports a smothering material in a horizontal plane and a handle which allows the safe and effective application of the smothering material to a container of burning fat/oil. When not in use it may be stored in a holder which can be wall mounted. In the event of a container of fat/cooking oil igniting, the extinguisher can be removed from the holder by using the handle and presents a smothering material of a size and shape suitable for covering the container of burning fat/oil. This is placed over the container in the manner prescribed in the instructions of use, depriving the burning surface of air and achieving extinction.

摘要： A fire resistant blanket which is tossed or placed over a fire in order to smother the flames comprising a square shaped blanket made of a permanently fire proof material, on the backside of which are attached two handles made of the same clothlike material. At strategic points about the perimeter magnets are positioned and secured in pockets of the blanket. The blanket's primary function is to be used to extinguish small household fires such as may arise in the kitchen while cooking. The blanket is designed to allow storage directly on the side of a refrigerator or other metallic surface or on the kitchen wall by draping over a dowel where it will be readily accessible in the event of a kitchen fire. The handles on the back are designed to allow the operator to approach the fire while protecting himself and his hands. The spaced magnets weight the blanket optimally for tossing the blanket onto a fire. Additionally the magnets are placed to allow the optimal benefit of their magnetic effect when placed on the objects which contain the fire, such as pots or the metallic stove surface, and to anchor the blanket in position over the fire which it is to smother.

摘要： A device which automatically drops a fire blanket onto a vehicle. The device may be situated above a parking space. The device may automatically drop the fire blanket in response to a signal from a smoke sensor or fire sensor. The device may include an enclosure; a spindle; and a fire blanket; wherein the fire blanket is configured to be stored in the enclosure by being wrapped around the spindle; and wherein the first device is configured to automatically drop the fire blanket by using first and second wires located on opposite corners of a side of the fire blanket. The first and second wires may be connected to a grabber that is connected to the fire blanket so when the fire blanket is completely unfurled, the grabber passes through a constraining hole which opens an end of the grabber holding the fire blanket which then releases the fire blanket.
