摘要： Method and device used in arthroscopy for the diagnosis or treatment of a joint (2) surrounded at least partially by a capsule (3). The device (1) includes a plate (6) and a traction element (10). The method comprises the steps of inserting the device (1) through the capsule (3) and into the joint (2), allowing the traction element (10) to protrude, and pulling the traction element (10) so that the plate (6) exerts an intra-articular traction of the capsule (3) tissues, creating a space (13) under the plate (6). The formation of this space (13) helps to improve visibility inside the joint (2) without the need for extensive incisions in the capsule (3). Therefore, the capsule (3) is less damaged after the arthroscopy and post-operative complications are minimized for the patient.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the retraction system includes: a retraction part for holding an object or tissue to be retracted; a retraction fiber control part for retracting the retraction part at the area to be retracted by means of a retraction fiber to fix the retraction part; and an abdominal wall fixer coupled to the retraction fiber control part, wherein the abdominal wall fixer is fixed to the abdominal wall. The retraction fiber control part includes: a retraction fiber control part body having a retraction hole through which the retraction fiber connected to the retraction part passes in the lower portion thereof; and a retraction fiber fixing part disposed outside the retraction fiber control part body so as to retract the retraction fiber or fix the retraction fiber such that the retraction fiber is immovable.

In some embodiments, a surgical retractor comprises a monolithic polymeric structure extending across the central opening defined by a frame. Other embodiments and methods are disclosed.
