The process authenticates a user on a device in a set of communication devices for manipulating conversation stubs. The process monitors an exchange of conversation for a triggering event on the device in a set of communication devices. Responsive to detecting the triggering event, the process generates a conversation stub that contains information relating to the topic of conversation. The conversation stub is stored in a storage device located remotely to the set of communication devices. Responsive to receiving a selection of the conversation stub, the process presents the conversation stub on a communication device selected from the set of communication devices.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to virtual world management and provide a method, data processing system and computer program product for conversation detection in a virtual world. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for conversation management in a virtual world data processing system can include detecting a sequence of statements from at least two avatars in a virtual world, and locating the avatars in the virtual world, computing a temporal proximity of the statements. The statements can be grouped in the virtual world if the avatars are geographically proximate to one another in the virtual world and if the statements have occurred within a threshold temporal proximity of one another. Thereafter, the grouped statements can be persisted in the virtual world as a conversation.

摘要： A method, system and computer program product for conserving power in a GPS-based navigation system. The navigation system receives input from the driver selecting a portion(s) of the route (route from the current location of the vehicle to the destination) where the driver requests guidance. For those portions of the route not selected by the driver to receive guidance, the navigation system implements a low detail mode of operation. In such a mode of operation, the navigation system reduces its update frequency as well as displays less detailed graphics so as to consume less power. For those portions selected by the driver to receive guidance, the navigation system implements a high detail mode of operation, where the navigation system is capable of audio-visually communicating to the driver instructions for reaching a given destination. In this manner, the power consumed by the navigation system will be more efficiently utilized.
