摘要： A magnetic head slider suitable for a disk drive measuring 1.8 inches or less in disk size incorporates preventive measures against the decreases in lifting force that occur in small sliders with a slider width of 0.8 mm or less. The present invention improves the inclination margins of the flying slider in a rolling direction at the lowest flying point, and achieves low flying height and stable flying. The slider is constructed with stepped surfaces on the slider's leading-side flying surface formed up of shallow-grooved surfaces and a deep-grooved surface so that a trailing-side width W2 between the stepped surfaces is smaller than a leading-side width W1.

An area of the long sideways rail surface is larger than an area of the lengthwise rail surface.

摘要： A negative pressure flying head slider includes an air bearing surface of a substantially rectangular shape disposed in opposed relation to a rotating magnetic disk. One side rail of the slider is adapted to be located at an outer periphery-side of the magnetic disk when the slider is mounted on a magnetic disk device, and has an inflow-side side rail portion which is disposed at an air inflow end-side of the slider, extending generally parallel to the longitudinal direction of the slider, and an outflow-side side rail portion which is disposed at an air outflow end-side of the slider, extending in a direction of a yaw angle. The angle of the outflow-side side rail portion with respect to the inflow-side side rail portion is greater than the maximum value of an absolute value of the yaw angle. The slider further includes a recess defined by a cross rail and the side rails, and a slit formed in the cross rail to permit the recess to communicate with the air inflow end of the slider. A magnetic transducer is provided at that portion of the slider disposed adjacent to the air outflow end of the slider.

摘要： A sheet reverse apparatus for reversing a paper sheet discharged from an image forming apparatus has a mounting mechanism fixed to the image forming apparatus, and a power transmission mechanism. The power transmission mechanism is engaged with an output gear coupled to a drive source of the image forming apparatus, and transmits a driving force from the image forming apparatus to an input gear. The power transmission mechanism has a swingable plate and a spring for biasing the swingable plate in one direction. A movable gear meshed with the input gear and rotatable therearound is axially supported on the swingable plate. When the sheet reverse apparatus is mounted on the image forming apparatus, driving power from the sheet reverse apparatus can be supplied from the image forming apparatus through the input gear and the power transmission mechanism.
