    • The current invention relates to an apparatus for cooling and/or heating a motor vehicle, with at least one coolant pump for circulating a coolant in a cooling and heating system, with a main cooler segment, which has a main cooler inlet and a main cooler outlet, wherein the main cooler inlet is at least intermittently connected to at least one coolant outlet of an engine to be cooled, in particular an internal combustion engine, of the vehicle, and its main cooler outlet is connected to at least one coolant inlet of the engine, and with at least one other, secondary cooler segment provided in addition to the main cooler segment and at least one other unit to be cooled, which is connected to the cooling and heating system, and the apparatus have at least one bypass line with a bypass valve, which is associated with the at least one secondary cooler segment and is disposed parallel to this secondary cooler segment in the cooling and heating system of the motor vehicle.

    • An adjustable discharge nozzle for blowing air is constructed in a structurally simple manner. A second pipe section is fit over a first pipe section substantially without play and it is fixed longitudinally but rotatable about the longitudinal axis. A relative rotation of the two pipe sections moves a blowing air discharge opening along a longitudinal direction defined by the pipes. The blowing air outlet is defined as an overlap between a longitudinal slit formed in the first pipe section and an oblique slit formed in the second pipe section. The oblique slit is inclined relative to the longitudinal slit.

    • The invention is directed to an apparatus for metering an air-fuel mixture to an internal combustion engine. The apparatus includes a characteristic field set up with operating quantities of the internal combustion engine for anticipatorily controlling engine variables that influence the air-fuel mixture and a control arrangement, responsive to at least one engine variable, for correctively influencing the characteristic field values. The characteristic field values are stored in the characteristic field and selected in dependence on operating quantities of the internal combustion engine. The characteristic field values are modified by means of different control methods to correctively influence the same. More specifically, the control methods include a control to a minimal specific fuel consumption in the lower and part-load ranges as well as a control to maximum power in the upper load range as may be necessary. This control arrangement can be realized, on the one hand, with an extreme-value control which is superposed either on the air or quantity of fuel delivered to the motor or, on the other hand, with a direct control of the air ratio .lambda. with an exhaust gas probe, for example. With the apparatus of the invention, a minimal specific fuel consumption with reduced exhaust gas emissions are realized while at the same time ensuring a satisfying driving behavior of the vehicle.
