摘要： An amine or hydrazide derivative of a sialic acid unit, e.g. in a polysaccharide, is reacted with a bifunctional reagent at least one of the functionalities of which is an ester of N-hydroxy succinimide, to form an amide or hydrazide product. The product has a useful functionality, which allows it to be conjugated, for instance to proteins, drugs, drug delivery systems or the like. The process is of particular utility for derivatising amine groups introduced in sialic acid terminal groups of polysialic acids.

摘要： The present invention relates to methods for producing N-terminal derivatives of proteins in which a polysaccharide, preferably having at least terminal sialic units and preferably consisting essentially only of sialic acid units, is reacted at the N-terminus of a protein or peptide under controlled conditions to produce an N-terminal derivative. The controlled conditions include use of acidic pH for the derivatisation step and a higher pH for purification. The derivatives are useful for improving pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of proteins and peptides.

A parsing processor provides instruction-driven content inspection of network packets at 10-Gbps and above with a parsing engine that executes parsing instructions. A flow state unit maintains statefulness of packet flows to allow content inspection across several related network packets. A state-graph unit traces state-graph nodes to keyword indications and/or parsing instructions. The parsing instructions can be derived from a high-level application to emulate user-friendly parsing logic. The parsing processor sends parsed packets to a network processor unit for further processing.

The proportional flow creditor is configured to track an oversubscription of the shared bandwidth resource by the plurality of distinct network traffic flows. The rate limiter is coupled to the hierarchical flow creditor and the proportional flow creditor. The rate limiter is configured to limit at least one of the distinct network traffic flows based on the oversubscription tracked by the proportional flow creditor.

摘要： A wristband is assembled from a flexible preferably vinyl carrier and a preferably laminated ID label, the carrier having a panel portion and a strap portion with a snap closure located in a toe extension at the end of the carrier adjacent the panel. The strap has a series of holes, one of which is captured within the snap closure to attach the wristband to the wearer's limb. The laminated ID label has a pair of opposing slots, one of which slips over the strap to abut the panel and the other of which is captured by the snap closure to attach the label to the carrier. The panel portion has a relieved edge formed along its opposing sides which increases the comfort of the wristband as it is worn.
