    • A robot arm consisting of an upper arm link and a lower arm link which are interconnected by a uniaxial joint. The upper arm link is connected with a structure via a universal joint. In order to attain a weight balance, a toggle lever is placed on the upper arm link, on whose one lever arm an upwardly directed equalizing force acts and whose other lever arm is connected to the lower arm link. If both arm links are in alignment with one another, then the point of application of force on the one lever arm has its greatest distance to the universal joint. If, on the other hand, the lower arm link is swung out of its alignment with the upper arm link, then the distance between the point of application of force and the universal joint is decreased.

    • A cycloid gear is provided which comprises a pair of eccentric discs which are attached to a drive shaft and which carry curved discs thereon having outer peripheries of cyclodic curved shape which roll off along a plurality of rollers that engage said outer peripheries, the pair of curved discs having bore holes extending therethrough in overlapping relation to one another respectively to define an effective axially directed opening through each pair of overlapping bore holes, there being a plurality of axially directed bolts which pass through said effective axially directed openings and which are connected to an output shaft to drive the output shaft as the curved discs rotate with rotation of the drive shaft and eccentric discs. Each bolt carries a resilient roller whose unstressed outside diameter is greater than the predetermined minimum dimension of the effective axially directed opening with which said bolt is associated, whereby said rollers transmit the rotational movement of the curved discs to the output shaft without any clearance and preload the gear.

    • The condensation steam trap device includes a housing having a passage through the wall, which provides for fluid flow between the interior and exterior of the housing. The passage has a valve seat and carries a valve for engagement with the seat. A valve-actuating, temperature-sensitive element is disposed within the housing and has a connection with the valve for controlling the opening and closing thereof in response to changes in temperature of the element. The element is a bimetallic band or strip of curved or part-cylindrical shape. A nozzle or inlet pipe projects through another portion of the housing wall as well as through a clearance opening in the strip, the axis of the pipe and the discharge end thereof being directed against the inner surface of the strip substantially tagentially thereof. Condensate flowing through such pipe thus impinges a substantial area of the curved bimetallic strip causing the latter to move in response to a temperature change to a greater extent than would be true by directing such flow radially against the exterior of the strip. Upon actuation of the strip in response to temperature changes the valve in the aforesaid passage is also moved thereby controlling the degree of opening and closing thereof.
