    • The ink jet printer is provided which eliminates play between a carriage supporting an ink jet head and a guide shaft, allows the ink jet head to be releasably attached to the carriage, and provides reliable electrical connection between the ink jet head and the carriage with a reduced number of parts. An embodiment of the ink jet printer of the invention includes a guide shaft extending in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which paper is forwarded. A carriage is slidably mounted on the shaft, moving in reciprocal directions while being guided by the guide shaft. An ink jet head, releasably attached to the carriage, prints ink dots on the paper for forming a printed image by jetting ink out of nozzles. A first electrically connecting portion is arranged on the carriage. A second electrically connecting portion is arranged on the ink jet head so as to come in pressure contact with the first electrically connecting portion. A biasing member provides a pressing force between the first electrically connecting portion and the second electrically connecting portion.

    • An ink tank cartridge is provided removably mountable onto an ink supply needle of the ink-jet type recording apparatus body. The cartridge has a housing provided with an ink supply port extending through and projecting from a wall of the housing and into the chamber of the housing. A porous member having ink impregnated thereon is positioned inside the chamber of the housing abutting against the ink supply port. A filter is mounted on the inner end opening of the ink supply port. The ink tank cartridge is further provided with a packing member for resiliently abutting against the outer periphery of the ink supply needle and is positioned adjacent one end of the ink supply port. The outer opening of the ink supply port is sealed with a sealing member through which the ink supply needle penetrates. A further porous member may be positioned in the ink supply port between the packing member and the filter to prevent a false ink end indication caused by air reaching an electrode of an ink end sensor positioned between the filter and the further porous member when the ink tank cartridge is removed from the recording apparatus.

    • The apparatus of the present invention is configured of a combustion gas creation portion for creating a combustion gas comprising oxygen and water vapor from the decomposition of a low concentrated hydrogen peroxide that is adjusted to be at a concentration of 60% or less for storage, and a gas generation vessel for creating a high-temperature, high pressure gas for driving a turbine by causing the thus created combustion gas to react with a fuel. A particular feature of the present invention is the way in which cooling passageways that function as the combustion gas creation portion are formed from a catalyst. The result is a combustion gas which is less toxic, is stable in storage, and has no danger of explosion, and is thus extremely easy to handle and safe when used as an oxidizing agent, and which can also suppress the oxidation and loss of high-temperature components and can increase thermal efficiency to enable higher outputs with lower fuel consumption.

    • A method and an apparatus for taking out the viscera of a fish. A fish, the head of which is cut off, is conveyed by conveying belts and the belly of the fish is incised with a cutting blade. The fish, the belly of which has been incised, is caused to rise along a bone-supporting plate to make the position of the bone constant. The pointed end of a membrane peeling-off blade is inserted into the top portion outside a coelomic membrane of the fish to strip the coelomic membrane from the fish. Since the viscera of the fish is wrapped in the coelomic membrane, the viscera is taken out from the fish meat by stripping the coelomic membrane from the fish meat.
