摘要： A photographic film unit of the self-processing type includes a preregistered, integral image-recording unit supported on a rigid frame. The recording unit is strippably coupled to the frame and also to a cooperating pod and trap, respectively, for supplying a processing composition to the recording unit and for collecting any excess of the composition from the recording unit. Stripping of the recording unit from the frame, pod and trap is most effectively accomplished by one or more stripping fingers of related photographic apparatus, that are adapted to be inserted between the recording unit and the frame to separate the recording unit from the frame, pod and trap. The finished print is constructed in the recording unit, and, after the abovementioned stripping, is substantially unencumbered by other elements of the film unit necessary only for processing.

摘要： A package comprising a light-proof envelope or bag containing a plurality of X-ray film sheets stacked for co-operation with a dispensing machine and useful in a daylight handling system for daylight loading and unloading of cassettes. The film sheets are identical and may have a photographic emulsion layer on one or both surfaces. The adjacent films in the stack have their surfaces in contact. Each sheet has a cut-away portion along one edge thereof for coacting with a film selector cam. In the stack, the sheets are alternated so that the cut-away portions lie along a common stack edge and are arranged in two parallel rows. The cut-away portions in adjacent sheets are in different rows and in superposition. After the package is in a dispenser, the envelope or bag is stripped from the stack so that the sheets can be removed one at a time from the stack and passed into film holders or cassettes engaged with the dispensing machine.

As each film unit moves endwise in the camera during processing, its image-recording unit is separated from the frame and ejected through an exit slot in the camera housing to provide the desired photographic print. A novel stripping device initiates the separation at a leading corner of the imagerecording unit and then progressively detaches that unit from the frame by means of an angularly disposed stripping shoe that guides the image-recording unit into and through the exit slot.
