摘要： In a turbine rotor composed of a ceramic turbine blade and a metal shaft with an end to be machined, martensite stainless steel or martensite heat-resistant steel which can be hardened in a gas or vacuum after having been heated beyond the quenching temperature thereof is used as the metal. The ceramic blade and the metal shaft are heat-connected by brazing or shrinkage fit at 800.degree. C., or more. The metal shaft hardened through the heat-connection is tempered only at the end to be machined or the metal shaft heated to the quenching temperature is quench hardened only in part other than the end to be machined, thus facilitating the machining of the metal shaft locally which keeping the remaining part thereof in a quench hardened condition.

摘要： A ball and socket joint is used between members which pivot relative to each other. The joint includes a ball stud for connection with one member and a socket for connection with the other member. The ball stud has a ball portion and a shank portion projecting from the ball portion. The socket has a chamber in which the ball portion is located and an opening through which the shank portion projects. A cup-shaped bearing liner is interposed between a first part of the ball portion and the socket for transmitting forces and enabling sliding movement to occur therebetween. An elastomeric layer is bonded to a second part of the ball portion and resiliently interconnects the ball stud and socket and urges the ball stud and socket to initial relative positions when they are moved therefrom. The elastomeric layer has portions which project into volumes defined by the socket to mechanically interlock the elastomeric layer and socket and block slipping of the elastomeric layer relative to the socket.

摘要： A steering lock for an automobile includes a key cylinder, rotatable and axially movable upon rotation of a key inserted in the key cylinder, into locking engagement with a locking bar to lift the latter clear of engagement with a steering shaft. When the key cylinder is turned back and the key is pulled out, the key cylinder is moved back out of locking engagement with the locking bar, which then locks the steering shaft. The returning movement of the key cylinder depresses a spring-loaded control member into a key slot in the key cylinder. When the key cylinder is fully moved back, the spring-loaded control member is pulled out of the key slot. With such an arrangement, the key cylinder can directly engage the locking bar to displace the latter into a retracted position or allow the same to move to a locking position.

摘要： The invention relates to an antitheft device for trailers and semitrailers comprising a threaded rod which can be screwed in a block integral to a fixed portion of the trailer or semitrailer and having one end thereof idly engaged in a body integral to a linkage leading to the levers which actuate the brakes of an axle of the trailer or semitrailer. By screwing or unscrewing the threaded rod in said block it is possible to achieve the locking or the releasing of brakes. When brakes are in their locking position, acting on a latch control member operable by means of a key it is possible to engage one end of the latch within an annular groove formed in the threaded rod, so that the latter is prevented from moving axially. During this stage the other end of the latch acts on a non-return valve connected to the service brake circuit in order to allow the brake fluid to flow in one direction only.

The connector includes a sleeve encircling the spindle and two flanges located at its opposite ends. Each flange is initially frustoconical, and is forced into substantially a disc shape to grip the spindle and the wall of the bore. The flange at the bottom of the bore is flattened first by a small diameter punch acting against the other end of the sleeve; and the other flange is then flattened by an annular punch encircling the small diameter punch.
