摘要： A storage space is defined by a wall which in its lower portion is provided with an inclined surface, which protrudes into the storage space. Claws are adapted to support superimposed platelike articles in the storage space. A pivoted pressure-applying lever is disposed opposite to the wall and arranged to clear the lowermost articles and to apply pressure to the second platelike article from below in the storage space so as to retain the second platelike article from below and to support platelike articles superimposed thereon in the storage space. The claws and the pressure applying lever are disengageable from the platelike articles in the storage space in alternation to effect a delivery of successive superimposed platelike articles from the storage space.

摘要： Apparatus for separating and removing a sheet from a stack of such sheets is provided with a reciprocating pushing member engaging the trailing edge of the lowermost sheet in the stack to push the same into contact with transport means capable of engaging the leading edge of the sheet for further transportation thereof. The pushing member has a pushing surface extending perpendicular to the surface supporting the stack and with a lower edge which, in the operative position of the pushing member, is substantially at the level of the stack supporting surface. The apparatus is particularly suitable for feeding film sheets from a cassette at a relatively high rate.

摘要： Apparatus is provided for transferring a selected one of a plurality of workpieces, such as silicon wafers or masks, from within a cassette containing the workpieces to a processing station for scrubbing, etching, etc. The apparatus includes a wafer-supporting arm which is movable between a retracted position within the cassette and a scrubbing station for moving the selected one of the silicon wafers from its position within the cassette to the scrubbing station and for returning the selected wafer from the scrubbing station to the cassette. A selection device then operates to move the cassette downwardly so that the next silicon wafer to be cleaned is in position to be picked up by the wafer-supporting arm when it is next moved between its retracted position and the scrubbing station.

摘要： This invention relates to a disposable wet towel characterized by an ability to evolve heat immediately prior to use or in use such that the temperature of the towel is increased by as much as 25.degree. or more above ambient when applied to the skin. The evolution of heat is due to the admixture of a reducing agent and an oxidizing agent reactive with said reducing agent which agents are kept separated prior to use of the towel and mixed when the towel is put into use. The agents and products resulting from the reaction thereof are not irritating to the skin. The invention also provides pouches for storing said towels prior to use which pouches contain means for maintaining said oxidizing agent and reducing agent isolated from each other.

摘要： A sheet stacking mechanism neatly stacks a plurality of sheets, which may be of dissimilar sizes, thicknesses and surface quality (finishes), in the original sequence in which the sheets are fed into the mechanism. An outfeed mechanism picks each sheet into the stacker and removes each sheet entering into the stacker away from the throat of the stacker to permit unimpeded entry of the next sheet to the stacker. Anti-skewing devices are employed at various locations to maintain the sheets in proper alignment during stacking. Linkage means having a mechanical advantage greater than one interconnects a biasing spring to a stacker bar to provide elongation of the spring inversely proportional to the distance moved by the bar in response to the accumulation of stacked sheets thereon to render more uniform the force exerted on the bar by the spring means to provide uniform stacking.

摘要： A belt type separator contacts a stack to feed a sheet to a retard nip formed between the belt and a retard member. The belt is supported by a first pulley downstream of the stack and a second pulley adjacent the stack which is pivotable relative to the first pulley. Frictional resistance encountered by the belt at the nip will cause the normal force with which the belt bears against the stack to increase. Oppositely skewed rolls are used to tension sheets fed to a sheet aligning abutment. When the separator is positioned below the stack, a pivotable lever may be used to hold the stack against the separator. The pressing effect of the lever may be overridden upon an increase of the force with which the separator engages the stack.
