摘要： A method of controlling an outlet temperature of a heat exchanger of an aircraft includes operating an air cycle machine at a first operating speed. The air cycle machine is operatively coupled to an air cycle machine bypass valve at a first position. The air cycle machine is fluidly connected to a first heat exchanger disposed adjacent to a second heat exchanger. In response to a second heat exchanger outlet temperature less than a second heat exchanger outlet temperature threshold while the aircraft is operating at an altitude less than an altitude threshold, the method moves the air cycle bypass valve from the first position toward a second position.

Components of the system work together to optimize oxygen utilization while reducing costs from maintenance and added weight of traditional pressurized gaseous cylinders. Components include a rapid oxygen supply for immediate use in emergency situations, an on-board oxygen generator (OBOG), a controller, a pulsed oxygen delivery subsystem that detects inhale/exhale phases and adapts to physiological requirements, and a breathing mask for each pilot and cockpit crew member.

First and second flaps supported in a frame control a fluid flow between the environment and the cabin through an opening of the valve. The first flap is supported at a distance from a front edge of the frame and the second flap is supported on a rear edge of the frame. A closing device closes an outflow opening (56) in an inflow position of the flaps, which outflow opening is bounded by the flaps. The closing device is pivotably supported on one of the flaps, and interacts with the locking device in such a way that the closing device closes the outflow opening in the event of a pivoting motion of the flaps.

摘要： A thrust recovery outflow valve and method for controlling the transfer of air between a cabin in an aircraft and atmosphere outside of the aircraft are provided. An outflow valve is mounted on the aircraft that includes a valve frame, a first valve door, and a second valve door. The first valve door is rotated to a first predetermined open position while the second valve door is in the second door closed position to thereby open first and second flow passages that place the aircraft cabin in fluid communication with the atmosphere. When the first valve door is at a first predetermined open position, a flap is rotated, relative to the first valve door, to at least partially cover the second flow passage and thereby at least inhibit flow through the second flow passage.
