摘要： A first polymer latex and second polymer latex can be mixed to form a dried primer layer on a substrate to adhere patterned materials having fine lines. The first polymer latex comprises a first polymer and a first surfactant such that a dried coating of the first polymer latex has a surface polarity of at least 50%. The second polymer latex comprises a second polymer and a second surfactant such that a dried coating of the second polymer latex has a surface polarity of less than or equal to 27%. Moreover, a dried coating of the mixture has a surface polarity of at least 15% and up to and including 50%. Primed substrates are useful for preparing electrically-conductive articles having electrically-conductive fine lines directly on a dried primer layer by applying a patterned material to a substrate. Such articles can be used as touch screen displays in various electronic devices.

摘要： A low temperature heat seal coating solution which contains an amorphous or semi-crystalline polyester or co-polyester resin, tackifier, anti-blocking agent, and solvent. The coating solution can be applied to a packaging web such as a foil or film by converters using conventional methods such as gravure, rod, slot die, or printing process. The heal seal coating can be sealed to itself or another substrate to manufacture food packaging bags or pharmaceutical blister packaging. The heat seal temperature can be as low as 70° C. under conventional equipment and conditions in the industry.

A brightness of the black chromium plating layer seen through the corrosion resistant film is expressed by an L* value of not more than 54 based on the L*a*b* color system.

摘要： A process for preparing a conductive carbonized layered article including the steps of: (I) providing a liquid carbon precursor formulation comprising (a) at least one aromatic epoxy resin; and (b)(i) at least one aromatic co-reactive curing agent, (b) (ii) at least one catalytic curing agent, or (b)(iii) a mixture thereof; wherein the liquid precursor composition has a neat viscosity of less than 10,000 mPa-s at 25° C. prior to adding optional components, prior to curing, and prior to carbonizing; and wherein the liquid precursor composition being cured has a carbon yield of at least 35 weight percent disregarding the weight of the substrate and any optional components present in the composition; (II) applying the liquid formulation of step (I) as a thin coating layer onto at least a portion of the surface of a substrate; (III) curing the liquid formulation of step (II) to form a cured product, wherein the cured product has a carbon yield of at least 35 weight percent disregarding the weight of the substrate and any optional components present in the composition; and (IV) carbonizing the cured product of step (III) to form a conductive carbonized layered article; and a conductive carbonized layered article such as a carbon optical transparent electrode (COTE) prepared by the above process.

The glass article also includes a layer of compressive stress extending into the body, a depth of layer of up to about 60 μm and a magnitude of compression ≧200 MPa. Further, the first layer of the plurality of discrete layers is spaced apart from the first surface by a distance D, wherein D≦5 μm.

摘要： An organo polysiloxane to improve the abrasion and weather resistance of a hard coating layer obtained from a silicone-type hard coating composition. The hard coating composition contains a first organo polysiloxane having silicone-containing bond units selected from the group consisting of R—Si(—OX)2(—O*—), R—Si(—OX)(—O*—)2 and R—Si(—O*—)3) and a second organo polysiloxane having the same, where the second organo polysiloxane has a weight average molecular weight of 1/10 to 1/1.5 times that of the first organo polysiloxane. Further, a resin substrate having a hard coating layer made of a cured product of the hard coating composition that has improved abrasion and weather resistance. For resin substrates used in a bent state, the hard coating layer also improves the cracking resistance associated with mechanical stress.
