The present invention relates to programmable sequencing devices, or, more particularly, the remote controls for consumer electronic devices. The present invention provides an enhanced interface for facilitating human input of a desired control sequence in a programmable device by employing specialized visual feedback. The present invention also relates to a new interface and method of interfacing with a programmable device, which is usable as an interface for a programmable video cassette recorder.

摘要： A method or system for controlling and recording the security of an enclosure is disclosed. A mobile electronic control device, such as an electronic key, is used to access or otherwise control the operations of a field device. In a control event in which the mobile control device interacts with the field device via wired or wireless communications, the control device obtains the current location and the field device ID. The location information is used by the mobile control device to determine whether the field device should be accessed or enabled. Alternatively, the location information may be stored separately in a location sensing device, and the control event data recorded by the key and the location information recorded by the location sensing device are later combined when they are downloaded into a management system for auditing. Moreover, an electronic access control device is disclosed comprising two microprocessors.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for controlling a digital electronic product, using a control signal transmitter and a signal receiver combined with a gate system for controlling a digital home appliance, such that a system activation/inactivation control mechanism is established. The on/off status of the gate system is remotely controlled by the control signal transmitter. In the process of switching off the gate system, a basic input/output system (BIOS) for executing switching on/off is used to detect whether the external connecting port is connected to a signal receiver. When the system is in the off status, the electric connection to the signal receiver is maintained, such that the activation control signal from the control signal transmitter can be received any time. Thereby, the signal status of the signal receiver can be changed to automatically switch on the gate system, and the control signal transmitter can thus remotely control operation of the digital home appliance.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for controlling a digital electronic product, using a control signal transmitter and a signal receiver combined with a gate system for controlling a digital home appliance, such that a system activation/inactivation control mechanism is established. The on/off status of the gate system is remotely controlled by the control signal transmitter. In the process of switching off the gate system, a basic input/output system (BIOS) for executing switching on/off is used to detect whether the external connecting port is connected to a signal receiver. When the system is in the off status, the electric connection to the signal receiver is maintained, such that the activation control signal from the control signal transmitter can be received any time.
