    • A wax coating device for a wet type electrophotographic color printer is capable of preventing the coating operation when printed matter is not supposed to be wax-coated. The wax coating device includes: a coating roller rotatably disposed so as to be partially immersed in the wax of a wax tank; a pressing roller disposed so as to be in tight contact with the coating roller for pressing the printed matter passing between the pressing and coating rollers against the coating roller; a pressing roller spacer for permitting the printed matter to pass between the pressing and coating rollers by spacing the pressing roller apart from the coating roller; and a coating prevention section for preventing contact of printed matter with the coating roller when the printed matter passes between the spaced pressing and coating rollers by being selectively advanced between and withdrawn from the pressing and coating rollers in accordance with the operation of the pressing roller spacer. The pressing roller spacer includes a pressing roller bracket and a cam gear for alternately rotating the coating prevention section. The coating prevention section includes a cover which is advanced between and withdrawn from the pressing and coating rollers in accordance with the rotational movement of the cam gear. The cover is advanced above the coating roller by the movement of the pressing roller which is spaced from the coating roller. Accordingly, the printed matter which is not supposed to be wax-coated is prevented from making contact with the coating roller.

The side shield and the return yoke have portions connected to each, and are separated from each other by the shield gap layer in an area except for the portions which contact. A first gap layer formed of a nonmagnetic insulation material is formed between both sides of the main pole and the side shield. A gap is formed between an end portion of the main pole and an end portion of the return yoke and a second gap layer is formed in the gap with a nonmagnetic insulation material.

    • A magnetic memory device includes a memory region, an input and a sensor. The memory region includes a free layer, a pinned layer and a non-magnetic layer. The free layer has adjacent sectors and a magnetic domain wall. The pinned layer corresponds to the sectors and has a fixed magnetization direction. The non-magnetic layer is formed between the free layer and the pinned layer. The memory region includes a magnetic domain wall stopper for stopping the magnetic domain wall formed at each boundary of the sectors. The input is electrically connected to one end of the free layer for inputting a signal for magnetic domain dragging. The sensor measures a current flowing through the memory region.

    • Provided is a magnetic head having a magnetic thin film structure that reduces the effect of a stray field and generates a magnetization reversal at a high speed. The magnetic head includes a first pole, a second pole spaced apart from the first pole, and an induction coil that induces a magnetic field in the first and second poles, wherein the first and second poles include a pole tip in which a leakage flux for recording is generated, and a head yoke that guides the flux flowing in the poles, and at least one implant for controlling a magnetic domain, the implant formed in at least one of the first and second poles. The magnetic thin film can effectively reduce the effect of a stray field entering from the outside, and can control a domain wall motion so that high speed magnetic recording is possible, by generating a magnetization reversal at a high speed corresponding to a magnetic field applied by an induction coil.
