    • A female terminal which enables a tab of a male terminal to be fitted into a female terminal even if the tab is bent when a connector housing receiving the male terminal is fitted relative to a connector housing receiving the female terminal. An elastic engagement arm is provided within a terminal receiving chamber in a connector housing. A female terminal includes a fitting portion for receiving a male terminal, an engagement portion for being retained by the engagement arm, and a wire connection portion. A guide projection is formed on the fitting portion of the female terminal, the guide projection projecting forwardly beyond the front end surface of the female terminal. There is provided a slanting guide surface extending from the guide projection 18 to an inlet of the fitting portion. A groove for allowing the passage of the guide projection therethrough is formed in the engagement arm.

    • A dummy plug is composed of a shielding plug to be inserted in a terminal accommodating chamber and a shielding plug holding means, wherein the shielding plug holding means further comprises; a lid portion which is formed larger than an inner diameter of the terminal accommodating chamber, a pushing projection for pushing the shielding plug formed on one side surface of the lid portion, and a housing locking section formed integrally with the lid portion. With the construction above, when the shielding plug is pressed by the pushing projection to be inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber and the housing locking section thereof is engaged with a locking claw provided at the outer circumferential surface of the connector housing, the pushing projection and the housing locking section can be observed from outside, and the location of the shielding plug stuffed in the terminal accommodating chamber can be consistent, so that even a conventionally adopted connector terminal checking tool can be used.

    • A pressure-welding type electric terminal according to the present invention is constructed such that it comprises an electrically contacting section and an electric wire connecting section which is composed of an electric wire pressure-welding section and an electric wire retaining section, wherein the electric wire pressure-welding section further comprises: a sub-plate section provided at one part of a longitudinal side of the base plate by way of a connecting portion and superposed on the base plate, which sub-plate section being integrally provided with a sub section having two consecutive elongate holes; an upright section formed with a slot therein for receiving an electric wire, which upright section being formed by vertically folding the sub section; and a pair of fixing pieces for firmly fixing the superposed sub-plate section at the front and rear sides of the upright section respectively.Since the present invention is constructed as such, even when an electric wire rather on the fat side is pressed against the wire pressure-welding section to electrically connect thereto, it will not be expandedly deformed neither forward nor backward, providing thereby a sufficient durability.

    • In a connector comprising: a terminal having an electrically contacting spring piece which is accommodated in a surrounding wall in such a manner that it is allowed to protrude through an opening formed in the surrounding wall; and a connector housing into which the terminal is inserted, the spring piece has an electrically contacting portion confronted with the opening, and an slide portion bent in such a manner that it is away from the opening, and the connector housing has a depressing protrusion for depressing the slide portion. As the terminal is inserted into the connector housing, the depressing protrusion depresses the slide portion so as to cause the electrically contacting portion to protrude outside through the opening. Thus, the electrically contacting spring piece of the terminal is protectively held in the terminal until the latter is inserted into the connector housing.
