摘要： An image forming method is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of forming a latent image on a latent image carrying member, developing the latent image by a developer containing a toner, transferring the toner image onto an intermediate transfer member, transferring the toner image transferred on the intermediate transfer member onto a image forming support, and fixing the toner image formed on the image forming support, wherein the toner contains a resin and a colorant, and the toner is constituted by toner particles having a variation coefficient of the shape coefficient of not more than 16% and a number variation coefficient of the particle size distribution of not more than 27%.

摘要： An expansion-molded article (foamed body) produced by using foamed and expanded beads, and having open voids has sound absorbing qualities, and can be used as a sound absorbing material. A sound absorbing material which is able to attain a high sound absorption coefficient in a wide acoustic frequency range is provided by a molded article produced by using resin particles, having through hole(s) and a porosity of 45 to 80% in a most densely packed state. The void content of the molded article is 10 to 60%, and the bulk density thereof is 0.01 to 0.6 g/cm3. The molded article has not less than 3 continuous center frequency measuring points at which the sound absorption coefficient is at least 70%, and not less than 7 continuous center frequency measuring points at which the sound absorption coefficient is at least 50% in the sound absorption coefficients at the center frequencies of 250, 315, 400, 500, 630, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500 and 3150 (Hz) as determined by the measuring method of reverberant absorption coefficient prescribed in JIS A 1409.

摘要： In a scroll compressor furnished with a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll, and provided with steps on end plates of the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll, formed such that the height thereof is high at a central side and low at an outer peripheral end side in a spiral direction of the walls, and with upper rims of the walls formed in a stepped shape corresponding to the steps, gaps are respectively provided between the end plates and upper rims of the walls, and a height of the gaps at room temperature is formed higher than a height under operating conditions. Moreover, the steps are provided at positions which exceeds a pitch angle of &pgr; (rad) along the spiral direction from the outer peripheral end. Furthermore, a concavity is formed in the end plate of the fixed scroll, and a discharge valve is provided in the concavity. Moreover, a plate which is freely movable in an orbit axis direction of the orbiting scroll is arranged, and a pressing device which presses the plate is provided. In addition, a shape of connecting wall faces which connect adjacent parts on one side face of the end plates, is determined by an envelope drawn by an orbit locus of a connecting rim which connects adjacent parts of the upper rims. Furthermore, there is provided a communication passage which communicates between two compression chambers which are developed by contact of the connecting rim and the connecting wall face.

摘要： A scroll compressor including a fixed scroll having a spiral-shaped wall body, and a swiveling scroll which has a spiral-shaped wall body and revolves while linking together the two wall bodies. The wall bodies have steps, and side faces of two end plates have high and low bottom faces in correspondence with the steps. A tip seal is provided along a join edge which connects top edges on different sides of each step, and a mechanism is provided therebetween to prevent the tip seals from becoming removed from the join edges. Furthermore, in the same scroll compressor, tip seals are provided respectively in two grooves, and join paths are provided respectively between a high-pressure compression chamber, which is formed with the bottom faces as one section, and the two grooves. The pressure inside the high-pressure compression chamber is used as a pressing force for the tip seals.

摘要： In an antistatic apparatus for a photomask including a conductive optical shield layer, at least two conductive pins are inserted into the photomask, so that the conductive pins are in contact with the conductive optical shield layer. Then, the photomask is set in a cassette of an electron beam exposure apparatus. Then, the conductive pins are electrically connected to the cassette by conductive plates. Thus, electrons charged at the conductive optical shield layer by electron beams are effectively discharged from the conductive pins to the cassette.
